And today's "they only beat rider X by mm:ss" is Ten Dam. Take a bow

My thoughts exactly.

Just to think if Wiggins were here it would be a Sky lockout for the whole podium. That would make the Mapei podium look like a joke.

Its going to get really crazy in here. Bolt everything down because there is a hurricane of *** coming our way.

I like how Porte looked around and then decided to get second anyway.

Allegedly, and I stress it, allegedly Froome did the last climb at 2003 speed.

That is exactly what I thought he caught Nairo thought nah I best not make this look stupid then one K later bye bye. Very telling.

Personally I am annoyed that apparent cheating can go on. How can 1 rider be so dominant against top level athletes? But 2?

veloclinic twitter:
Stage 8. Ax-3-Domaines (first 7.85 km, 8.30 %, 651 m). Chris Froome: 21 min 41 sec, 21.72 Kph, VAM; 1801 m/h, 6.37 W/kg [DrF]

Human confirmed (sort of). ;)
I enjoyed it.

Well apparently now a "clean" athlete can climb faster than doped ones.

I'm not sure it's confirmed yet but the froome's time is supposed to be the 3rd best time ever, just 10-15 seconds short of armstrong in 2001.

Next time on Skyborgs the next generation, another Orica Green-Edge bus gets stuck at the finish, our heroes Froome and Porte ride ahead and push it clear with their bare hands, before cycling back to the peloton and then winning by 1 minute.

Bingo!

Porte was able to smash the lead group to pieces, set up Froome and then ride into 2nd place! WTF?

I thought Porte was more ridiculous. I've never saw Heras so want he did!

That was absurd!

btw did Sky SRMs kill the clinic?

It's meltdown and all Richie could do was laugh his way up the climb. Must try that tactic myself on a col. Jovial gains and all....

Ax-3-Domaines (1.30km→7.85km = 6.55 km, 8.17 %, 535 m)

2001 | Lance Armstrong: 18 min 08 sec

2013 | Chris Froome: 17 min 58 sec

It's ok Sky are clean

David Millar ‏@millarmind

Well, @TeamSky rode a perfect race, and for the record, I believe they are clean and they deserve respect and admiration for it.

Someone tell Millar it aint April 1st.

Boy is he brown nosing for a job of Cookson.

I was watching Porte just destroying everyone, looked down to take a bite out of my donut, looked back up and Purito was like 100m behind dropped like a stone lol

I did not expect them to actually outdo lost years La Planche des Belles Filles but boy they did.

Porte destroying everyone, waiting a bit till Froome is clear, and then thinking like 'what the heck let's just take second place just for the fun' :D
