must come as a genuine surprise to guys like slot and walsh to see how small the world is.
must be one brilliant mechanic

He was a mule for Armstrong no? So we think he is doing the same for Porte and Froome? Running EPO around Europe for them?

Why not? Plenty of pro bike mechanics in the Monaco area.

no, we think Motoman helps fix Porte's bike when he gets a puncture. Lubing Froome's chain too.

EPO is so yesterday. He is probably just transporting pineapple juice and hypo-allegenic pillows.

So few good doctors and bike mechanics out there. Amazing.

Sky really no how to dirty their bib and then proclaim innocence, naivety and still say they are the clean transparent team.

Porte and Froome live in Monaco. The south of France must be full of bike shops and ex team mechanics, but only motoman will do?

Stinks of doping.

This is just unbelievable as if it's new news. I have pointed this article out on numerous occasions as a means to dispel the notion that journalists with the Times aren't compromised in their reporting and only now you acknowledge this.

I'm not saying Motoman is involved in doping with them but writing an article mentioning Froome and Porte alongside him after first writing about his history with LA, is not something that they and Sky themselves would be happy to be seen put in a paper.

This is a new book - just out - The Times are doing a Tiernan - Locke and getting in before the info about motoman link to Froome and Porte is outed by the readers.

It would appear that the Times/STimes are aware that fans are not believing their reporting of Sky and they are trying to find reasons to project impartiality.

TeamSky are no doubt reading the clinic as much as Armstrong/Stapleton/Bruyneel did. Only difference is the latter felt untouchable, whereas Sky are learning from those mistakes, but still making massive errors.

Why would Sky hire a guy like Motoman?

IF Sky were clean they wouldn't be using a guy like motoman to put air in their tyres!

The same reason they hired Leinders and Yates.

The article was out in July during the Tour. You make it sound like it was a PR on the Times part.

Sky don't give a toss about the clinic and shouldn't either for that matter. Stop building up your own importance.

While the sarcasm is obvious, I do sort of feel this is true. if Sky are on something fairly sure it will be more sophisticated then employing a known drugs mule to be a drugs mule transporting a drug that Ferrari himself said you'd crazy to take these days.

Alleged drug mule. Team doping went out in 2005. Sky would not hire Motoman, he would be hired by a rider directly. Maybe after an intro from Yates.

Perhaps not the clinic itself but certainly they care about opinions on social media and they've made decisions in response to them in the past.

It looks the same as it always does, we were talking about Motoman two years ago. The Sky thread is about recycling the same innuendo endlessly it seems. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.

I'm sure soon will tell how he worked with all pro cyclists. Smells like a self promotion/ need of money.

It's like the old homeless drunk that grab your foot whispering "hey i worked for the great Gatsby".

Simone Warner ‏@SimoneWarner 3h

@owenslot What loaded tweet, very sensationalist of you.According to your interview he claims they went to him for bike 'mechanical problems'

"im hungry pleaseee clients"

P.S. JTL visited me yesterday for a dose pf PED's. Please retweet this. It's the truth and only the whole truth.

To be honest today was the first I'd heard of Motoman working with Froome and Porte. It doesn't look great does it?

first, it was Limited Hangout. When the Tdf passed through Nice this year, many journos/reporters went in search of motoman. So this probably would have come out with or without Slot.

second, did you see Slot's tweet? he doesn't believe it has anything to do with doping. That suggests a bias, since he simply cannot know.;)

I'm sure he is injecting them PED's in the back of his bike shop. He is the only one that can do that, i'm sure all teams use him, because he has experience, a low profile, and nobody can do it like him.

Probably Yates introduced him with some occasion (like that Facebook picture in front of the shop) an the guy want's some free publicity with "i worked with".

But the handful of dopeborgs will re chew this with frenzy for a couple of weeks.

It's looks to me unsubstantiated and ambiguous, like most of it really.

It might if we were dealing with a sport that we know is, in the pro ranks, a cesspit. In pro cycling if it walks like a duck and looks like a duck.....

Froome, Wigans and Porte's preformances all have question marks over them. We could give them the benefit of the doubt if it wasn't for Leinders, love for Lance, anti fans tirade when questioning the veracity of the performance and now working with the infamous motoman.

It sure stinks at Sky of duck poo.
