I often look for a middle ground between two extremes, but that's hard to establish on this thread, at least.
But, and this is just conjecture, could Sky be using stuff that isn't illegal (perhaps because its new)?
Two of the areas they seem to excel in are
a Weight reduction
b Recovery

Its noticeable how other riders in other teams are now getting thinner, and more able to turn it out day after day.

OK, it might be doping, but it might be a new development that isn't yet classified as doping. To give 3 examples: EPO was around for ages before it was classified as doping (OK, I think everyone taking it knew it was doping), oxygen tents at night and vitamin injections.

They certainly have the money and expertise; I think this is a more likely line of inquiry than perusing a doctor with a dodgy past in doping teams, I just don't think they'd be that stupid.

Thank you! It is simply incredible, that boy is one of the most talented riders I have ever seen, but to ride like that on a Dogma, ridiculous

The stunt man was riding a Dogma, Sky ride Dogmas, so it's obvious he was doping, surely. :D

All parts of the video were insane, but the loop-the-loop out of the bunker, without leaving a tyre mark on the fairway to annoy the golfers , was just ridiculous!

The backflip out of the golf bunker is literally the coolest thing I have ever seen

He probably broke ten Chinarellos making that video. No way they were risking a real Dogma frame.

You'd be surprised. Martin Ashton is one of the very best trials riders in the world. I would take that video at face value: he really did do that to a Dogma

Sky need to sign this chap, he already rides one of their bikes. He's a Brit so he's clearly a doper: there's no way you can backflip out of a golf bunker on a Pinarello Dogma without sum' poe

Not sure how he climbs but I reckon he'd take them on the descents, as the crow flies

I don't know about Team Sky, but that guy is definitely on some kind of drugs.

Barry just confessed.

Wonder how that will go down at his old man's bike shop?

Mick barry and Hincapie must have sat down together to write their statements

Barry's statement says he was clean from 2006:

Cycling has always been a part of my life. As a boy my dream was to become a professional cyclist who raced at the highest level in Europe. I achieved my goal when I first signed a contract with the United States Postal Service Cycling team in 2002. Soon after I realized reality was not what I had dreamed. Doping had become an epidemic problem in professional cycling.

Recently, I was contacted by United States Anti-Doping Agency to testify in their investigation into the use of performance enhancing drugs on the United States Postal Service Team. I agreed to participate as it allowed me to explain my experiences, which I believe will help improve the sport for today’s youth who aspire to be tomorrow’s champions.

After being encouraged by the team, pressured to perform and pushed to my physical limits I crossed a line I promised myself and others I would not: I doped. It was a decision I deeply regret. It caused me sleepless nights, took the fun out of cycling and racing, and tainted the success I achieved at the time. This was not how I wanted to live or race.

In the summer of 2006, I never doped again and became a proponent of clean cycling through my writing and interviews.

From 2006 until the end of my career in 2012, I chose to race for teams that took a strong stance against doping. Although I never confessed to my past, I wrote and spoke about the need for change. Cycling is now a cleaner sport, many teams have adopted anti-doping policies and most importantly I know a clean rider can now win at the highest level.

I apologize to those I deceived. I will accept my suspension and any other consequences. I will work hard to regain people’s trust.

The lessons I learned through my experiences have been valuable. My goal now is to help turn the sport into a place where riders are not tempted to dope, have coaches who they can trust, race on teams that nurture talent and have doctors who are concerned for their health. From direct experience, I know there are already teams doing this but it needs to be universal throughout cycling.

Progressive change is occurring. My hope is that this case will further that evolution.

Where was he defending Kimmage against UCI? Where was he defending Landis?

Pathetic.

Sky

Re Barry - didnt he deny using PED's when accused by Landis ???
What ever happened to the Sky team enquiry into his drug use...
Isnt it strange that 2006 seems to be the year they all stopped ???

From the LA papers. Check the part I bolded. ;)

Dr. Ferrari recognized that the EPO testing method works through separating andmeasuring the quantity (known as “intensity”) of various types of EPO and comparing the ratioof EPO bands in what is known as the “basic” region (where the bands tend to be caused by theadministration of synthetic EPO) to bands in the acidic region (where the bands are naturally produced).

However, because the test operates by measuring a ratio, the test can be fooled to adegree by increasing the amount of EPO in the acidic region (i.e., those produced naturally),which can be accomplished by stimulating natural production of EPO either through going toaltitude or by sleeping in an altitude tent (also known as a “hypoxic chamber”).

Dr. Ferrari advised the use of hypoxic chambers to reduce the effectiveness of the EPO test in detecting theuse of synthetic EPO.

Regular training at altitude (such as at St. Moritz, Tenerife or Aspen)would achieve a similar result

Consider that the proposed training method (ride up the Pico del Teide lots and lots) is absolutely silly. It's simply way to intensive.

Wiggins oddly seems to be following Michele's advice to LA by the letter.

Twitter activity from current pro's awfully quiet considering todays events...

Only way Wiggins has any credibility now is to come out with a very strong statement against Lance and US Postal. Something tells me thats not going to happen though...

Wiggins just posted a statement: “I still love him. He’s still amazing in my eyes along with everything Postal did. Team Sky wants to be just like them. Everyone has benefited from Lance Armstrong in some way”.

not normal!

Brailsford so smart they hired Barry

I just don't think I have the energy to look up the statements Brailsford made in support of his decision to hire Barry. It was obvious to anyone with half a brain that this was a a human locked into the Omerta and that Mrs Barry went from non-entitiy to rocket woman at Athens, just added the cherry.
