"Choosing to attack on twitter".

Pathetic, that's how most organisations communicate now. Clutching at straws!

Besides, isn't the tour leader tested daily?

Don't know about daily, but the doping control form at the end of the article indicates he was tested the day the picture was taken.

So in my mind, picture of Wiggins with a patch I assume to have been after a needle has penetrated his arm, and a doping control form, indicates the patch is due to the doping control.

Whether creative minds are able to assume another cause of the patch would likely be dependent on their ability to ignore that big pink form dominating the bottom of the article.:D

Are you sure you're not me?

I would say that it is an absolute 100% certain fact I am not you............Okay

Perhaps you would like to tell the forum, live on air, who YOU actual are?

Check the times on the form and the time the stage finished.
Over an hour between being nofied and taking the test. Makes the testin irreleavnt.

Thats why one has chaperons.;) It's so they can go through all the ceremonies, pressers etc before a drug test. Also with blood testing, usually you can't take it right after the physical exertion.

But if you think you are on to something, you might try to find video of the press conference. If you see Wiggins arms hidden under a table or something, perhaps that would be the time to stuff something up his arms.:D

SIGH SIGH SIGH

I was just pointing out how tiresome and ridiculous the culture defense is.

Actually, it's neither tiresome, nor ridiculous. There is genuine and interesting academic work on the topic in a number of areas.

But it's pointless to discuss it here; it invites complete hysteria. and more to the point, it's probitive of absolutely nothing in relation to any individual athlete's doping habits.

So, yes, sigh. Pointless.

That statement says more about you then it does for those you are attempting to dismiss.

Why not post these discussion and link to the academic studies in a new thread?
While I think it would be fair that different countries develop different 'cultures' that would go out the window when one goes in to a new environment.

Really, Dr. What does it say about me, then?

All nations do have cheats. But my opinion is that Sky's arrival on the scene has taken place at a time when they could be more sure that this sort of thing wasn't taking place. My interpretation is that for years, a lot of British cyclists stayed out of the European scene (save for Dave Millar, who we know what happened to) because of it's barely-concealed cheating culture.

Brits stayed out of doping because they are morally and physically superior people, who wont dope and by extention will win when doping disappears.

Its good though for a poster to come right up front with just how backward their mentality is.

Its strange how the british only became morally and physically superior after everyone stopped doping in 200x.

You would think that they would dominate cycling in the 70s and 80s when it was also possible to win clean.

Hardly very sceptical, Sceptic? Who were all these clean winners then?

All im saying is that if its possible for british riders to win clean now then it should be possible before EPO doping as well. But maybe they didnt have such immense talents as Sir Brad back then ;)

This is a thread that deals specifically with Sky, a British outfit, no?

Oh they tried. They really did. Problem was that without marginal gains, the riders were so exhausted after the races that they couldn't find their way back to the bus. Most were never heard from again.

Problem solved:
http://www.teamsky.com/article/0,27290,17546_5886373,00.html
From the outside the bus looks just like any other, but step aboard and you are greeted by a scene more akin to a club class air cabin than sweaty team bus.

Nine leather-furnished seats dominate the space and each one is kitted out with gadgets to cater for every possible need.

The seats are adjustable to the hundredth degree and come complete with electric calf supports

And the technological wizardry does not end there...

there's even a red LED beacon which extends skywards to ensure the riders can find their way back to base after a hard day in the saddle.

Hard to find an injection point with those lights.

You know when you go into a bathroom at a rail station and you wonder why they use light blue fluorescent lighting. Just so the junkies can't find a vein.

Sky must have an injection room elsewhere on the bus.

Or maybe on those chairs you just plug in and sit back.
