Read the article, I don't know how you surmise that he is a discrace to the Jersey, there have been plenty of discraces to the jersey over the years (like the man who made Bassons go home), but there is no evidence that Brad is one of them.

He's a big baby with no heart is my point. Nothing else, don't read into everything in the long standing clinic tradition.

On another note, so one guy made Bassons leave? Nobody on his team would speak to him, just ignore the facts...

Altitude training for Poland and Britain? Why? To simulate race situations on those mighty Polish an British mountains?

Wiggo lost his jive.

I do want to see him give a crack at Roubaix.

Wiggins had one chance to win the tour and he did it. He'll never win it again, he knew that already last year. I'm not surprised with this at all, many of us already predicted it.

When he says "sacrifice". I think he means not prepared to "dope" like that again.

Wiggins before the Giro: "I have the best output/numbers ever!!!11!!"

Get's owned by Nibali.

after Giro: " I didn't go to the altitude camp before the Giro because I wanted to be with my family;"

-.-

Anyways enough sky robots to replace him. Geraint Thomas maybe? I noticed his sudden climbing talent in the Dauphine lol.

Yes odd.

I'm going to win the Giro and the Tour and every other race.

Oh.

Sore knee.

Can't descend.

Don't want to win anymore. It's boring.

Probably looking at the Dawg and thinking; that guy is glowing like a stick of uranium. He's going to get busted. Best me out of there to preserve what I've got.

Shhh!!! Don't bring up the obvious!

Per the couple of posts prior, going from excellent pre-Giro form and plenty of big talk, then some misfortune at the Giro, to 'sore knee, I'm outta here.' is uhhh.. Something. The phrase "hero to zero" just doesn't cover it.

IMHO, they made a grave mistake not bringing Uran and the other climber, (Henao??) to the TdF. It's the Olympic road race all over again. You have to give Johann some credit compared to Sky. He was gifted the most powerful riders by the UCI, then didn't waste the opportunity.

Olympics are over, the UCI doesn't need another Brit on the podium.

Wiggo doesn't realize the UCI is "growing cycling" in Africa letting Froome Dawg off the chain. Those positive samples just never leave the APMU. Configuration problem with the software..... Just like Armstrong's 2009/10 samples.

this is pretty great, wasn't he saying he wanted to try to go for the Giro-Tour double like two months ago?

Whilst I'd agree on the Olympics UCI / Sky synergy and the whole Newscorp media bukkake attached to Wiggins winning the tour last year, I feel this 'growing cycling in Africa' BS is just a soundbite for Fattie to win some obscure African UCI votes.

As soon as he is out of a job that story will be used toilet paper. It's already a complete fantasy that the UCI is doing anything significant for African cycling.

Yes, what happened to that big power machine from the track who just need to lose a few pounds and rule the pro cycling world?

More BS from Sky and the fans swallowed it whole.

Exactly my thoughts. I think many underestimate the stress attached to charging up sufficiently to win the tour, and doing so without getting popped.

Especially Wiggins, who stands to look like a complete t1t with all his bluster about how much he hates dopers. Not to mention his knighthood and sterling work for brand UK in winning the tour and winning it clean in the fine and honourable British tradition of clean sport.

Where LA is perhaps arrogant enough to survive in the post-confession media blitz, Wiggins' man-of-the-people, 'rather-stack-shelves-in-Tesco' persona is a probably a tad more vulnerable.

No Leinders anymore.

But what does it matter? Like hitch says, he'll always be considered a winner, a champion. The guy who put british cycling on the map, hopefully it'll only last 10 years.

I see him becoming WC ITT though.

Wiggins just had no motivation from the very start of the year. The 2013 Wiggins was always just a lot of big talk with little substance behind the talk.

He'll find that hard to do I think not having gone to the Vuelta.
