The team's owned by BskyB, Sky Italia & 21st Century Fox.

Tiernan-Locke. Now Michael Rogers. And the trail seems to lead in only one direction......!

But the same guy is still at the head of all of them...

gooner said:Take Keys with a pinch of salt and anything he says about Sky. At the start of the football season he was criticising Sky's new approach to their coverage of the football season and said their coverage on Al Jazzerra with Andy Gray was the way to go. He was trying to take the credit for Gary Neville's success as a pundit.
Total agenda with bitterness at them.
Benotti69 said:Again i repeat this is the type of ****e Armstrong were coming out with against Landis, Emma O'Reilly, Betsy etc...take it with a pinch of salt cos they have axes to grind.
Keys might have an axe to grind but that doesn't mean what he said is wrong.
gooner said:What detail has Keys come out in similar fashion to what Floyd, Emma and Betsy?
JTL's sample wasn't when he was at Sky. Rogers could easily be a contamination one this time, we have to see the level of clen first to draw more definitive conclusions.
Nevertheless, even if it's contamination, I hope Ferrari/Freiberg boy still gets his 2 year hiatus. His comeuppance is overdue.

Benotti69 said:Keys tweeted an opinion as being slaughtered as a bitter ex employee. There is substance to the opinion. Rogers strongly suspected of being involved in doping prior to Sky and now tests positive for a banned substance. That his best ever year was at Sky smells.
The level of Clen wont prove anything.
Endura has claimed that JTL spent most of 2012 under Sky's watch.
The dots are multiplying. Leinders, JTL, Rogers..........

If there is evidence out there that someone has been waiting for the right moment to break, it seems likely that there will be a snowballing of the current stories (JTL and Rogers).
The Hitch said:That's a very simple conclusion that ignores the fact that all of the non Murdoch media loves a British success story just as much as Murdoch.

Keys, clearly, is still unhappy with the "outrageous" way his time at Sky ended. "If there is anybody walking the planet now who hasn't put all the pieces together, I'd be very surprised," Keys says. "I said at the time, there were some fairly dark forces operating against whatever I tried to do."
Describing the public reaction at the time as a "furore", Keys is no fan of aspects of the British media. "They say we have a free press in the UK. I'm not sure that we do. We have a press owned by too few, that can manipulate public opinion any which way they like."
gooner said:Read Keys's interview a few months ago where he got widely criticised for his comments. He's rightly slaughtered as a bitter so and so.

I bet he doesn't know the slightest about food contamination in China or about JTL and his performance in Haut Var and Mediterranean and the l'Equipe article afterwards.
He's an egotistical idiot who just can't accept that Sky have moved on with Ed Chamberlain and Dave Jones as better presenters. It's anything to get his pot shots in.
thehog said:Keys presented the Tour de France for years on Channel 4. He actually remembers when the sport was clean and o2vec drugs didn't exist.
He's not as stupid as you might pretend.
gooner said:I do know he presented the Tour. Does that he mean he knows the ins and outs of the sport 12 months a year? It means nothing. He presented Indycar coverage when Mansell was there, does that mean he's an expert on that?
Tell me what other doping related cases he has has stuck his head on the line on down the years?
He never opened his mouth during the years with Lance. I wonder what makes him talk now.![]()
thehog said:He was very active on Twitter discussing will Cav go to Sky / Will he leave.
Keys was the Tour De France in Britain through the 80's. He'd sit on an old beaten up Peugeot and conduct interviews. He's the man.
Probably knows more than Brailsford about road cycling.
Keys had seen more Tours than newbie July- Skyfan who thinks Sky are cleans because Brailsford said so.
Call Keys a sexist if you like because he is. But he knows his cycling and how the media works inside the sport.
gooner said:I bet he doesn't know the slightest about food contamination in China..
gooner said:A lot has happened since the 80s. It's telling it's now he does it.
DirtyWorks said:This is not a valid excuse for Rogers alone.
If numerous riders were positive in the same time frame, having all raced in China, Rogers included, then there's a great deal of confidence in blaming it on meat sources (chicken, beef) in China.
But, we aren't seeing that.
I'd also add the mysterious anti-doping ways of the UCI would leap at the chance to abandon a bunch of clen positives. It would be a PR gold mine as long as China the nation is treated kindly.
gooner said:That's not what I asked. I know he has presented on the Tour but he has done a variety of other events. It doesn't mean he knows the whole ins and outs and the sport 12 months a year. Ed Chamberlain who does the Super Sundays now is far more knowlegeable on modern day cycling than Keys. He actually watches all the races throughout the year. Keys just seen an open goal and went for it.
To the point I was making, what other doping cases has he stuck his head on the line with? Why didn't he comment on Armstrong down the years? This hasn't been answered. A lot has happened since the 80s. It's telling it's now he does it.
thehog said:He did comment on Armstrong. But over the years nobody commented on Armstrong.
Did anyone at Sky comment on Armstrong until he finally went down?
They did. Quite a lot actually. Especially Wigginsthehog said:He did comment on Armstrong. But over the years nobody commented on Armstrong.
