Hello, long time lurker but finally curious enough to post. So, Sky arranged a TUE for a Kenalog injection for Wiggins three years running due to debilitating allergies yet Mikel Landa (forgive me if I'm wrong here) pulled out of this year's Giro as Sky team leader suffering from allergies. Why no injection for Landa?

But Landa had gastric problems I believe

Might not be cheating but Dumoulin strikes the right tone - Sky's TUE use stinks.

It is cheating if he is making up or exagerating the illness to get the TUE's.

Yep. it seems people are missing the fact that Wiggins clearly doesn't suffer from pollen or asthma. So TUEs obtained illegally and abetted by Sky/UKAD/UCI/WADA.

Sport stinks.

Brailsford insists Team Sky is '100 per cent a clean operation'

Knaven, Cioni and Palfreeman means it aint.

Also winning the TdF 2012 with a rider taking injections of Cortisone proves it was not clean. It may have been legal because the powers that be accepted the lies about illness and allowed the TUE, but that doesn't mean they won it 'clean'.

Sky aint clean.

Agreed, a very good article. But Robert Millar's comments about Kenacort are what really opened my eyes. The more I know about Triamcinolone the worse this looks. If Wiggins was so sick he needed intramuscular injections of this stuff then he shouldn't have raced. But every time ahead of the TdF and Giro? Sky's silence is deafening it can only be that they are struggling to work out a plausible response.

Wiggins wasn't clean. Like being pregnant, you are or you are not! And Wiggins with his Cortisone, the most potent version, triamcinolone acetonide, was not clean.

Millar said this Drugs is a big performance enhancer. Armstrong, Hamilton, Jaksche and others agree!
Wiggins says it is a leveller.
Braislford said it gave no performance enhancement.

Plus ca change from the professional sport of cycling.

I saw that comment Wiggins made of the dope being just a leveller. Funny that's what all the other known dopers claimed about doping. Freudian slip possibly.

If any doctor ever prescribed this as a preventative measure they should be struck off immediately - someone might get dropped in it if they carry on down that road

I don't have absolute confirmation of this but word is that a certain ex-Sky rider blames the team for ruining his health with OOC drug use. It has taken him a couple of years to get back to where he was before joining that team.

If someone like Shane Stokes had any balls then he would be asking that instead of focusing on TUEs.

I usually don't like the ITK posts without a source but this has got to be Eddy B??

Reedie, Cookson(or McQuaid), Sapstead, Freeman, Farrell, Brailsford are the people who should be questioned.

But Intxausti was healthy and winning stages/races at Movistar- once he made the switch- it all changed radically, same as Landa.....
