I wonder if this leak is trying to make UKAD overspend their budget - Seems to be lots of leaks which raise the interest of UKAD, but at the same time little hard evidence.

Plenty of hard evidence.

Hired 4 doping doctors.

Needle use. IV use. Kenacort.

Countless lies.

Soon be enough for Walsh to write a book........... :D

"...a whistleblower letter sent in mid-February to Damian Collins, the head of the culture, media and sport committee, which has held several hearings as part of its inquiry into doping within sport.

The letter, a copy of which has been seen by the Guardian, is around 900 words long and written by an anonymous source who identifies him or herself as “a Sky insider”. The Guardian understands the person contacted Ukad and spoke to a senior member of its investigating team."

So this was known in mid-Februry, before Cope and Freeman testified.

At the same time today, http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/spo...antidoping-boss-nicole-sapstead-a3514686.html UK Anti-Doping's chief Nicole Sapstead,
"UKAD have spent well over 1,000 man hours on the investigation into the Jiffy bag delivered to Sir Bradley Wiggins in the lead-up to the 2011 Tour de France. Wiggins and Team Sky, for whom the Londoner was riding at the time, both deny any wrongdoing, saying the package contained the decongestant Fluimucil, a medicine available over the counter.

While the body will not put an exact price on it, those hours — combined with legal fees — have resulted in the cost of that investigation escalating to a sizeable sum.

The probe is ongoing and Sapstead added: “I’ll never cut a corner based on the fact it’s taking up time and resources.

“I want to be able to say we’ve left no stone unturned. If it takes another three months, it takes another three months.”

That's circumstancialistical evidence in't it.

The whole thing doesn't pass that test when you smell things, or that one about balancing stuff...but there's no evidence of like totally hard things yet.

So Sky allegedly broke the no needles policy rule. What next.

I'm guessing, "Altitude camps are cover for blood value manipulation", "AICAR allowed us to lose weight and gain power", "It's still really easy to microdose EPO" and a few I can't think of.

Where have I heard this before...? It sounds so familiar...can't....quite put my finger on it...

Anyone?

The Daily Mail version is much more interesting, it appears the source has evidence of the injectables.

Interesting use of the definitive article in that mail article - whistleblower is same person as before?

Still circling around the issue. Still not the bomb to ruin SdB, sadly.

patience...good things come to those who wait.... :)

When you don't know what they know, it gives you plenty of time to lie yourself into trouble....in time,SDB will be less remembered for marginal gains as for how not to manage a slow-burn crisis........he may even get cited in management books :D

"The inside source who contacted Ukad claimed they may have done so while remaining within the letter of anti-doping and “no-needle” rules." - so Sky may have done nothing outside the rules, and no doubt like a lot of other teams. Must try harder ...

Sky strike me as a team that follow the WADA code, down to the punctuation.
Then why were they illegally using injections?

If you're going to quote WADA code perhaps cite the clause to you refer which was conducted inside the rules? Or are you making things up again?

The inside source who contacted Ukad claimed they may have done so while remaining within the letter of anti-doping and “no-needle” rules.

By the letter of the law they weren't so basically they do everything short of doping.

So much hard evidence that UKAD has charged how many ?

These sources are sending UKAD on a wild goose chase.

My take is the leaker/s aim is to eventually make Brailsford resign from Sky - Continually build up public pressure so he is given little choice about his future - At the same time the leaks to UKAD contain soft evidence at best, which are unlikely to lead to any charges - And at the same time, NADO's always ask for more money when undertaking a complex investigation - Have to laugh at how NADO's telling sports organisations how to spend their money.

Since when did sporting bodies ever police the sport?

If you are waiting for an anti-doping agency to bust a big name you might be waiting 15 years!!!

UKAD are not interested in anti doping, just look at the information they received on doping Dr Bonar and what they did with that.

Please try harder.

You know Wiggins does not have asthma or pollen allergies. That a big rich team can get doctors to sign prescriptions and certs saying he does dont make it so.

Try and remember we are talking professional cycling. Try and read up on a little history of the sport and you will see Wiggins another rider with buckets of talent who needed dope to win big races. Just like the rest of the GT winners.

You're welcome. :)

I don't know anything about all of that.

I'm wondering what would constitute "hard evidence" in your view. Personally I think there is hard evidence that they've been abusing the TUE process with incidents by both Froome and Wiggins. If someone puts their name to the needles allegation, that will potentially be eyewitness evidence of cheating, but that hasn't happened yet. That would be "hard evidence". Positive tests I would file under "proof".

There is so much circumstantial evidence of riders on their team cheating and management doing backflips to cover it up that it's not even funny–wildly beyond what I need to form a strong opinion on the matter. Whether there will ever be proof, I don't know, but it's hardly surprising that more and more is leaking out all the time.

Can't bring myself to be interested in the internal politics of any NADO. Their incentives are so far removed from preventing doping that it's pointless to wonder about.

Change a few of the medications for other 'improved' methods and i doubt too much has changed.

CIRC report had GT riders taking up to 30 tablets a day.
