Ok then, how many other teams are taking part in that race? Why haven’t you asked that the same question any other teams thread? Does sky now own the tour of Yorkshire?

Is Team Sky preparing the next British Tour winner? 24-year old Tao Geoghegan Hart is beating Nibali and Majka in the Tour of the Alps.

anglo-donkeys-into-racehorses
unlike the multi-tour winner they distanced yesterday.

Yeah, Tao Geoghegan Hart is definitely not a donkey to race as you note. Very clear GC type progression throughout his short career. Obviously doesn't rule out doping but his performances aren't outlandish.

Yeah Geogaogogo breaking through isn't that surprising ... but if he wins the Tour anytime soon, Sky winning 7 or more Tours in 10 years with 4 different, but all British riders, just makes the display a little more ludicrous

Let's see if he can make it to that level first

There's a good few riders around that age coming through so it will be interesting to see how he does. Also worth remembering that Pogačar is 4 years younger than him, Bernal and Gaudu are 2 years younger than him, Oomen and Daniel Martinez are a year younger than him, Soler is a year older, The Yates are 2 years older, sure I've missed a few there but he's in a crop of very good GC prospects which could lead to a few years of exciting racing (we can hope can't we?! ).

Edit: Formolo belongs in that list, Yates aren't prospects anymore so should probably be removed.

It was only a matter of time that Tao was given the opportunity to show what he can do. Like KB said, doesn't rule out doping, but he is a talent and has worked his way up.

Agreed. The point I was getting at was in response to the previous post about Nibali.

It doesn't matter what the top Tour guys are doing and who is beating them. The top tour guys aren't necessarily going for a win in this race, with TdF still more than 2 months away.

(although Wiggins in '12 won everything)

he got distanced after he closed twice on Nibali´s attacks, then the 2 youngsters took stepped up.
it was great to see the Dawg on the front working for Sivakov. he´s going better by the day and preparing for July.
