Strong team. Is it normal that you pick one team for all 3 races? But yes, I also thought Gorka would find his way into the squad. I've said it before, but Im intrigued to see Soler here, I think he potentially could have A. Schleck potential for Liege.Mr.White said:For the Ardennes: Bala, Erviti, Sutherland, Dani Moreno, Rojas, Soler, Jesus Herrada and one and only Carlos Betancur! Didn't expect Betancur in the lineup, I guess Unzue and Bala still believe in him. Good lineup but I was expecting Gorka or Castro, or both. I guess they're doing Il Giro with Nairo.
Isn't he way too diesel for that?Valv.Piti said:Strong team. Is it normal that you pick one team for all 3 races? But yes, I also thought Gorka would find his way into the squad. I have no clues about the Giro and TdF-teams, I don't even wanna try to predict anything apart from Erviti in TdF.
He is a diesel and more of an endurance climber I think, but not to the point he can't break away in a long and selective race such as Liege. Andy wasn't super explosive himself but obviously had incredible talent for hilly one day racing (not saying Soler will be that good). Maybe Im dreaming, but won't surprise me if he he finds himself in the finale closing attacks down for Don Ale.Squire said:Isn't he way too diesel for that?Valv.Piti said:Strong team. It's official he will ride Romandie? Not very common to do the first WT race after a 1 and a half month of rest. At least I hope he goes for the tridente (Asturias, Madrid and Castilla y Leon).

Do we know what GT Dowsett is doing?

I'm not sure he if could (join like Carapaz). Bernal has been a pro since the beginning of last year, I'm almost sure that he can't be a trainee.
More like Rohan Dennis to BMC. There is an August 1st-15th window for such transfers.Moviestar said:Ricco' said:Moviestar said:There are some rumours that Bernal would join Movistar in August, like Carapaz last year.

They will probably pay Savio an amount as compensation for breach of contract, like Bahrein did with Izagirre![]()

They haven't been at their 100% best. He could end up as very isolated in Liege.
Yeah, maybe it has something to do with him respecting Valverde a bunch, they are also very much the same kind of riders (imagine Betancur with Valverde's seriousness). Or just a coincidence, I dno. He shouldn't have any problem working for Quintana as well if Movistar chooses to go that route, I guess it will depend on how he goes en L-B-L and even then, he had a pretty poor Giro last year.Mayomaniac said:Somehow Betancur seems to be more useful when he's riding with Valverde, he seems to be motivated when he's riding as a domestique for Valverde.
