Well, I agree Mas looked better and not too bad here. I would not think of top10 because of that, but if he stays healthy, maybe...

I guess its still a selling point for teams to their sponsors. Sure, as a fan - not that exciting. But it seems to matter for teams.I mean, the outlook of "maybe a top 10" hardly gets me excited, but I guess this is the new standard any MOV supporter has to get used to this season.

The problem with Movistar is they let the wrong riders go. Bad workmen always blame their tools.
Why don't they get rid of SRAM if it's impeding them doing their jobs properly. It's like getting a jockey to use a goat instead of a horse in the kentucky!
Hopefully it's only a 1 year contract with them. Otherwise they have to break a contract and find a new supplier, or would have to buy parts. Personally I'd buy parts than use SRAM, but that's just me.
Did Quintana sign the contract then leave?
His contract expired last year and he wasn't offered a new one.
Amador is the one that had signed a contract and then tried to sign one with Amador and Movistar called it out publicly.

Well, it is a 2-year contract according to SRAM's official announcement.
Please don’t blame equipment. They just don’t have the form compared to other teams. This sounds like Contador fans several years ago.I'm sure part of it is the issues with SRAM. Why they made the stupid decision to go with them I have no idea, but that has literally killed their entire season and by doing this actually made a rider (Valverde) who loves just riding his bike actually hate riding and not even want to train, which unlike many he actually enjoys doing. In Valverde's case it's likely a combination of age and SRAM. Mas very literally can't sprint. However, his form is definitely better than it has been this year, but it's not good enough to do much with.

I’ve heard from pros that don’t like SRAM yes. I just don’t believe that’s their main problem. Maybe it’s a small contribution. It IS and definitely was a major problem at the start of the season. Former Katusha riders have confirmed SRAM are junk and DO cause major problems including destroying their legs. Guess, what, you CANNOT get great form when you have bad equipment. SRAM is bad equipment. Did you forget Mollema has also had harsh words about SRAM.

Nairoman is doing great. Maybe you lose your licence to ArkeaThey need to break the contract and switch to something else. Otherwise SRAM may cost them their WT license.
That’s been my theory. They came out of the lockdown and saw how far off they were that they just decided to ride as well as they could here, find some form for an assault on the Vuelta.Mas and Valverde riding in form for the Vuelta
