yes, a huge problem for Bjarne:confused:

If accurate it's a disaster for Saxo. CAS is one of very, very, very few top level domestiques in their squad. There are still good riders available (particularly with the Geox collapse) but presumably if Riis had any money to spare he'd already have strengthened the team.

If Contador is banned, Saxo are likely to be an embarrassment to the Pro Tour. Although, come to think of it, if Contador is banned presumably that might free up a lot of money and at least so far there are still GT winners out there with no contract.

contapassion RT @mrconde: Danish climber Chris Anker Sørensen crashed during the Criterium in Jerusalem & is now at the hospital. Might have broken his leg. #cycling
Woah. Terrible news. Luckily still a long way to go until TDF though, so hopefully he'll be back at his best by then at least.

i think more importantly now is the state of Samuel Sanchez post hip surgery ? will he be able to get back to a high level of racing in support of AC ?

I'd prefer CA Sorensen not to start in any race next year. Sorry, but his style is just uncanny, it makes my physically ill.

why is it interesting. same as Didier, they just have them riding this years bikes.

Thought riders were contractually obligated to ride their "old" team's bikes until January 1st? Since the main sponsor and bike sponsor will remain the same though it might not be such a big deal though for some riders, but others such as Didier, Gallopin etc. might be a different story again.

Plus they do all the fitting etc. here ... do they just do it on the old bikes and then give them a new paintjob? Maybe ... it could also be an indication that we will see some of the classic LEOPARD TREK cyan we all love so much.

Great to see you back though ... I noticed you conveniently ignored the story I posted about Dean Downing criticizing Sky?!

/edit: Although now I remember those pictures of the Pegasus bikes from their training camp last year, so maybe riders can switch bikes after all while still being legaly bound to another team. Whatever happened to those bikes, I figure as rare collectibles they must be worth a lot

havnt been away, just been busy doing route maps and the like for next year. Havnt seen your comment about Deano, but havnt seen the original article either. link would be appreciated.

fwiw I probably agree with deano. He has been fairly critical of them in the past, but if its about the way they dealt with russ i would agree. The fansite is my vocation, personally I am a cycling fan more than a sky fan.

Aww! His riding-style is just... rather ugly!

He's actually one of the few people I can recognize purely on riding style...

...

Heard from a local pro that teams dont actually care so much about it as we might think.

Woopie.

The whole trip to Israel is one huge bribe anyway.

Ye surely Riis is trying to cap a rich sponsor. He is gettign desperate I reckon since thats also why he is signing japanese riders.
