It's going to be a bit crowded I assume ... especially because new continental outfit LEOPARD TREK will be joining the pro's according to this article
http://www.lequotidien.lu/les-sports/29688.html
It will be intersting to find out who will be part of this team ... so far the only known ones are Bob Jungels, Alex Kirsch and Pit Schlechter (all LUX).

Michele said:Why surprised for Calpe?
greenedge said:Calpe is popular for quite a few teams ( bit surprised )
greenedge said:No idea. A lot of teams seem to want to ride there ( making it congested as well ), but in the CN articles i have read, there has been no obvious stated reason for going other than the fact it looks good.
L'arriviste said:Some of the hotels in Calpe have geared up specifically for cycling. The original attraction was the cycling tradition, terrain and general weather conditions in that area.
For hotels, it is of course a big change to have to support a team of cyclists and their equipment, services and dietary needs. But it's off-season for beach tourists and now against the backdrop of a big economic slowdown it makes great business sense for the hotel owners. I would think that this sort of specialisation will attract more cycling teams.
