Is is just me or does this Tinkoff guy seem a little bit crazy? :p
I like him nonteless :D
He's like russian Richard Branson, only swears all the time.

I remember one of his ads for his beer company was showing boobs on public channels. There was a scandal and his marketing was a success.

His autobiography is something you have to read to believe.

Billionaire's Boys Club

BMC, Sky and now Saxo/Tinkoff are bankrolled by billionaires. Not a bad trend. Just think if Paul Allen, Mark Cuban and Larry Ellison wanted to burn some of their annual interest income on a WT team and get all the exposure each July.

Team Saxo Bank Tinkoff Bank will hold a press conference at the Tour de France's second rest day, Tuesday 17th July at 10.30 am.

The press conference will take place at our equestrian hotel:

Mercure Pau Palais des Sports
106 avenue de l'Europe
64000 Pau

No info been giving what´s about, it could be the normal press siesta on the rest day, but then they normally do not post it on the web site.
It¨s maybe nothing, it´s maybe something...

I think it's a normal Press Conference of the rest day.

The problem is Bjarne doesn't have any interesting rider on the Tour.:(

I would doubt Fabian would want to retrun to Saxo with Contador still on the team there as the reason he said he left Saxo is he said he would not want to be on the same team as the new Saxo signing which at the time was Contador.

Funny though that both Bjarne AND Fabian said they would be willing to reunite.

He can´t do that untill august, it´s not allowed to sign or negotiate contracts untill then. Officially. ;)

I think that is a duck, and not the reason to Fab wanted to leave, and besides, since then ive seen both conta and fabs talking in the peloton to what looked to be a pleasant conversation.

And I think fact is, Alberto is a real nice guy, humble and polite, and someone I also think Fabian admires for his commitment and talent.

I don´t think they would have any problems.
And people do grow and get older and more vice with age.

While Fabian did not name Contador by name when he left it was pretty clear who he was talking about and that he disliked him enough that his presence caused him to leave. But keep in Mind that Contador was not held in high esteem by the members of the Saxo 2010 team. But time heals wounds and 2 years is quite a long time to hold a grudge. During that time Conatdor seems to have somewhat matured and at least his public behavior and comments seems a bit better.

Agreed. I don't think that Contador, as such, was the problem. More the fact that he was loyal to the Schlecks, communication/atmosphere wasn't to good with sacking Andersen and the sponsor totally focused on AC, as well as the fact that Contador was going to earn five times his salary.

I think things are different now. Leopard didn't really turn-out in the fairy tale it was supposed to be, Cancellara never said anything negative about Contador (not even when he got suspended) and recently even started to follow him on twitter...

Please let this be true!!! :D

Oh Taramaae and EBH as well

I think a signing of someone like Vanendert would benefit tremendously. Saxo would get a leader for the Ardennes, where the entire team could support him well, and he could ride the Tour, in which he could go for stages and help Contador. But, with that said, I am positive towards many of the tiders being rumoured to Saxo. Kessiakoff, Birdsong, Breschel, Cancellara, Guardini, Kiserlovski and so on.

And yes, I know that the role I have suggested regarding Vanendert is more of less the same, he has got at Lotto.

No matter what, it is going to be interesting to see who Bjarne signs.
