While Fabian did not name Contador by name when he left it was pretty clear who he was talking about and that he disliked him enough that his presence caused him to leave. But keep in Mind that Contador was not held in high esteem by the members of the Saxo 2010 team. But time heals wounds and 2 years is quite a long time to hold a grudge. During that time Conatdor seems to have somewhat matured and at least his public behavior and comments seems a bit better.

Was it Cancellara's loyalty to the Schleck brothers and the realization that a rider like Contador had publicly made a statement that he prefers a team built around him and his ambitions (after having dealt with the Astana drama intially with Armstrong/Bruyneel then with Astana/Vino) more than any personal animosity towards Contador?

I think it is pretty clear, that Cancellare had planned and agreed with the Schlecks to come with them way before the Contador-Saxo lovefest even was a rumour.

Totaly agree, take Kreuziger out of that s*** called Astana.

It would be interesting what Riis could get out of him. At least improved TT. It's about time to leave Astana and take his WT point somewhere they will appreciate them more.

For example look where he stands in WT ranking and where the others like Kash, Vino, Kess, Kiser, Maxim, Brajki and whoever else from the team.

Saxo Bank riders has certainly had lots of TV coverage during this years TdF (not to mention gaining valuable pro-tour points). Their jersey with sponsor names certainy stands out in the group.

What a nutter Tinkov is.

"I like Cancellera, I like sprinters, I like Mark Cavendish. That does not mean we can buy them because they are under contract - but maybe in the future. "

"Now we build the team around Contador initially but opportunities may arise if other team collapses or riders are free of their contracts," said Tinkov.

After someRussian vocabulary Tinkov beats into English and gets Karpets in front of reporters and says:

"This is my friend Karpets. Get on tv, Vladimir. You got to ride for us. Vladimir Karpets is the next rider on the Saxo Bank Tinkoff Bank. Two million euros, we agree? "
Karpets laughs.

Kreuziger for stages and a top 7ish spot in giro

Considering Riis' talent in getting the best out of riders (in whichever way this can be) Kreuziger just might surprise us. I am intrigued at the prospect nonetheless.

Kreuziger might surprise us. And he showed some real fighter potensial at the 1 mountain stage he won. If he can do that every time he might be a real challenger for the podium. doubt it though.
