Not much happenin' on the ticker, is there?

edit: ah wait, they've updated it. Flakemore a lot faster than Sutterlin.

Schachmann just came in, so only about 20 riders left on course.

Howson just 16 seconds behind Flakemore. Dangerous for the overall. If it's like Eneco, Van Baarle will post the third time behind those two.

edit: I meant Olympia's Tour of course. Van Baarle has the 2nd time at the intermediate.

Herklotz already a minute behind.

I didn't know too much about this Flakemore dude, but he managed to win the long TT in both Olympia's Tour and Thuringen, so it's fair to say he's probably the favourite for the Worlds in Florence.

Vaughters will like the overall: nos. 1 and 2 in his team next year.

Looking at the times surely van Baarle should take the lead. That's a bit strange.

The favorites for the World's TT are placed 2 to 5 today. Flakemore hasn't really raced so far here, dropped out early on the stages and focussed totally on the ITT while the others raced hard until the end. Same at Olympia's Tour, IIRC. At the World's all other contenders will be fresh as well. I don't see a medal for Flakemore then.

Flakemore also did reasonably well on the queen stage at Olympia's Tour. He got a top-10 overall, outperforming his team leader Howson.

So he didn't really save his legs then. Yes, the results may have been a bit flattering, but he'll certainly be up there at the Worlds.

Howson should hopefully get it then. :D

Phelan should go on the attack.

Liking the race, it seems exciting.

Halfway into stage 6 (90km gone), gap 2:45

1. 36 Nielsen, Magnus Cort * DEN
2. 32 Andersen, Michael Valgren DEN
3. 41 Ludvigsson, Frederik * SWE
4. 72 Konrad, Patrick ETI

(could be one more, not sure).

Peloton with about 30 riders chasing.

Valgren Andersen @ +1:21 in GC will likely keep things interesting for the rest of the stage.
