ok, this is not my race... I hope to not loose to much...

anyway, the update of this week shall confirm me in the top10...thanks to Horner

I don't regret not picking Nibali. He's doing even better than expected, but at his cost he's still a huge liability. Even if he turns out to be the best possible investment after the season is over, not picking him is a sound business decision.

Top 10:
Position (last update) Team name - points
1. (2) microdose - 3377
2. (1) Pcutter - 3215
3. (3) Kevin Rudd's Hairdryer - 2912
4. (4) Bicing - 2880
5. (7) AAC1983 - 2686
6. (8) LukeSchmid - 2633
7. (9) theyoungest - 2570
8. (10) Sneekes - 2549
9. (13) The Hitch - 2521
10. (12) Handbrake - 2486
If we except microdose and Pcutter teams which were "special" in their selections process we can see that this year #10 is scoring more than any other team last year at the same point, which tends to show that after a year of experience we all, unsurprisingly fared better but also that the field is denser (not too surprising either as we have more entrants this year).

On a more personal note, with 883 points this week, I keep my second place, gain a little ground (not much though) on Mellow Velo and should be amongst the week's highest scorer. Still hoping to grab number one just so I can say I was there, but Mellow Velo really has a very good team and is making it very difficult.

As for Nibali, it always was a risk but not picking him is a good/bad idea depending on your team (if you go for medium price riders around 200-300 points, it's not a very good idea, but if like me you picked a number of youngsters and had trouble reaching 7500 and you were looking for riders that were going to deliver as many points as possible and not having to look too much at the cost while staying reasonable, he was one of the better options). He certainly was and in retrospect is the best bargain in this price range, I did advise people to take him but now I'm glad nobody listened :D

I just had a chance to do the spreadsheet, but see that someone beat me to it.

Oh well, I am out of the top ten after a five-week run. At least I only slipped to 12th. If only Trentin hadn't crashed!

Thanks for the hassle anyway! al_pacino sent to me earlier today but I didnt notice his message until now so sorry about the extra hassle!

BTW I cant believe Skibby the bush kangaroo scored over 1500 points and moved up 47 places!

It looks like there is a mistake in the spreadsheet on the web site: it includes the results from the last two weeks as though they were both in the last week. Skibby had a great week--969 points--but not that great.

I will send you the spreadsheet.

Thanks for the update. I have updated the download page and the file available for download should be now correct!

Anyone had all their riders score yet? Only got three of mine left to score anything now. Think someone mentioned they only needed Davis to get points now and he picked up a token 2pts in the sprint today.

I took Kump out for Vaugrenard at the last minute. Not looking so smart at the moment :D

Don't worry, I've got Vaugrenard too. I dunno what I expect him to do.

Yup, that was me. My lowest scorer is now Taylor Phinney with his gleaming 1 point (edit: nevermind I forgot he got 5 points for MSR finish, it is Davis with 2 as lowest). My team is already better than last year's team, which still had (I believe) 3 no-pointers at the end of the year (definitely Sicard and the foolishly-chosen Alexandre Usov, can't remember who would be the other).

On another note, haven't looked at the spreadsheet yet, but I'm happy to see I kept my place in the top 10, as I was pretty worried that an okay-but-not-great week would be enough to make me tumble, as it's pretty competitive at the top. Good thing there's a lot going on every week now that the season's really up and running, excitement all the time.

Finally, just looked at Coppi e Bartali and I've got Moser, Di Luca, Battaglin, Felline and Brandle. Could be a bundle of points there, I could see the possibility of stage wins for all of the first 4, and Brandle can hold his own on the hills and is good in the short TT.

Whoa, I checked it and I am indeed the first person to have all my riders score. Lots of people close and I think will likely do so by the time Catalunya is over, but as of today with Davis scoring, I have a minor achievement to celebrate. Of course, my 7-point scorer Offredo won't have any more points this year unless his ban is overturned, so I won't be the first person to have all my riders at 8 points, sigh.
