I thought originally he was quite a way down the pecking order - in the races he's ridden you'd have expected (on paper at least) him to be riding for Kreuziger or Brajkovic, as Astana have plenty of leaders. I left him out on that basis, and elected for two leaders (Duarte and Betancur) instead of a domestique like Kiserlovski. Obviously regretting it now!
I picked him because I thought he'd be their leader more often than not. This stems from my belief that he'd have done better than Kreuziger at the Giro last year if it weren't for the crashes. I thought that, even if he didn't start as a team leader, it wouldn't take him long to overtake Brajkovic and maybe even Kreuziger. Also, he was cheap, since his peaks were cut short by crashes last year.

I am going really bad this week and Durbridge has already got quite a lot of points. Hopefully he does not score so many more this year so i can pick him up cheaply next year/ i am screwed for this year if he does.

Bouhanni reached even today and Durbridge takes the GC at the Circuit de la Sarthe, so all in all a good day. I need Spilak and Rogers to do a good ITT tomorrow to save my Pais Vasco though.
The best part of week was Nibali gaining points without even racing :D Thank you Contador.

Spilak does good, Rogers does bad.
For me, my real fail was VDB2, dropping from 7th to 14th with a stinker of an ITT.
Maybe he fell..........

Pretty crappy though, expected to get more with Spilak, Kiserlovski, Henao and Poels. My bad for expecting that though, because none of them can TT, well Spilak can TT a bit, which is why he's into profit now.

Ooh Kiserlovski made it into profit after all, because of his fourth place in the points classification! Add his eighth place in he mountain classification and his 11th place in the GC, and now he's 6 point into profit :).

I think I've actually got more like 250-300 points in Pasi Vasco, becaue people like Kiserlovski and Poels get points because of stages, Jeannesson made it 24th in the GC, people like Kangert didn't do much, but at least they finished and got me 5 points.

Lol, he DNF a timetrial?

But the Pais Vasco site says he's 24th in the GC, and I saw his time in the ticker today.

Though CQ seems to have missed him, I'm sure they'll correct their mistake

EDIT: what?! I'm sure I saw him earlier on the Pais Vasco site, but he's gone there as well

After went away on holiday for 10 days, I see my team is in the top ten after last week update. Amazing, but this week was bad. Hope Roubaix can make some things good.
And Roubaix made some things good! Boonen, Ballan, Flecha. The last two are only three times chosen. :p

Last year I was 13th after the Paris - Roubaix and finishes 40+ something ...

Glad to see MiniPhinney finishing 15th ... its not a podium but at least he finished his 1st P-R with dignity

Congrats to Boonen. What a ride. He is now sitting pretty with 1438 points. I guess the Boonen signed jersey in my collection gain some value this spring :D

BTW No website update until Wednesday as I will be out of town until Tuesday.

I should probably quit this game now, my Paris-Roubaix was simply pathetic.

Oh Maaskant! Why did you have to be ill, Oh Devolder why did you have to be pathetic/crashing! Oh Vanmarcke, why did you do nothing! Oh Trentin, Vermeltfoort, why didn't you even bother to finish! Oh Boonen, why didn't you get in my CQ team!

I only earned 10 points in Roubaix. 10! I know my classics team is crappy, I know I don't deserve to be in the top 100 for forgetting to pick Boonen and Pozzato, but 10! 10 points in a 1.WT1 event.

I'm not sure how much other people made in Pais Vasco, but maybe getting 250-300 points in Pais Vasco can compensate a bit for getting 10 points in Paris-Roubaix.

Hopefully I'll be able to maintain my crappy position, probably more like not drop to many spots, and start moving up the ranks a bit now that the cobbles are gone.

If Henao, Poels, Vanendert etc. go well in the Ardenness, I should be able to pick up a bit. :)

Maybe I can try being the best guy who failed to pick Boonen? :p
