Seventh on the week, 14th overall. Not bad. I definitely didn't think I'd have 3 riders (and possibly 4, if Brandle stays in the top 10 at Andalucia) to have improved on last year before Het Volk. And Porte and Velits are at 80% of last year, while one of my most expensive picks (Boonen) is already at 60% of last year. Good show, team. Good positioning going into the first big hill of the season, now we'll see how the real race goes.

I'm happy that i moved up 29 spots ( but that is mainly because of solid picks that most people had ). Later on i just have to hope my less popular picks are not chosen by the people with the same popular picks who have ( Breschel, Velits, Porte and Boonen and so on ).

It's nice to get a mentioned (5th most points in a week) as well as almost winning the most position jumped in a week. :D

Hopefully I march up the table or at least stay in mid-table obscurity. :D

Well I'm sitting at 71st but I'm not worried yet.

I remember last year I was in the bottom half of the rankings pretty far into the season and then when the big stage races started hitting I started climbing up. Early on I was hoping to just finish in the top half and somehow ended up finishing in the top 10.

I'm not sure I can have the same results this year, but I'm not going to be concerned too much at early season results.

Well, lots going on this weekend. Can't wait for the real start to the season!

Het Volk
Boonen
Phinney
Offredo
Breschel
Haussler
Vanmarcke
Pozzato
Brandle

KBK
Boonen
Breschel
Phinney
Demare

Almeria
Talansky
Kelderman
Kreuziger

Sud Ardeche
Landa
Sicard

Lugano
Moser
Modolo
Battaglin
Felline

My Het Volk lineup is impressive, which is good as it's the most points, but I get the feeling that guys like Boonen and Breschel will probably take it easier in KBK. The other races are a writeoff unless a breakaway gets away, except for Lugano, where depending on form, any of those guys can win (well, Modolo would be a longshot to get over the hill).

Still hanging at the bottom half but not too far behind ... talk to me after the TDF or Olympics ... or even after the Vuelta where my GT boys will sweep the podium

1. Gesink
2. Horner
3. Menchov

... just dreaming :D

After seeing Horner today on a local group ride I have to change the Vuelta podium.

1.Horner
2.Gesink
3.Menchov

He looked good and in pretty good shape and even slimmer than last year. He will be flying up those hills.

As per TDF I cant wait for the moment when they send Horner on an attack (to work for Frandy) and we will have last year's Paris-RBX JVS situation.

Too bad he is not racing yet ;)

Ah well. I still was briefly in the top 10 and Offredo can't take that away from me. :D

man I am screwed now

Roelandts
Offredo
Docker

all out while Mitch may not have been the biggest spring star - he would have been consistent and scored.

the fall will be long and fast :D:eek:

Tour de Langkawi

Dave Zabriskie
Rafael Andriato

Zabriskie has a good chance to win the opening time trial. Which if he does, will be the only points he'll get in this race

25 points for Zabriskie on the win with an extra 8 for leading the race. I can maybe rack up an extra 40 with him if he can hold on to the lead until stage 6.

I'm very happy with the Rujano pick here.

Tour de Langkawi
he already has 3 points :D

but really should get somewhere close to 50 for stages, maybe more.
AT this point I think he will win the race. Providing he takes lead at Genting Highlands, he will have leadership points for 5 days (if he wins that is). so +40.
So maybe 100 points. +160 for the win.
SO maybe 250 points is a possibility for rujano here.
Last year he got 400 points for giro, I hope for something similar, I expect as much.

Plus some of the italian races, Giro dell'Appennino, trentino, coppi e bartali etc..
100 points is possible.. plus some points here and there later in the season.

I think 800+ is possible :D

Nice pick for Rujano ( he looks to be in good form ). I just hope he does not get sick ( for the Giro ). If he does win ( you would probably get into the lead as well )

Any idea on why Sicard is not racing ( i'm getting a bit worried about his 5 points )???
