Have anyone started doing a shortlist for next year? I know of one who has, and I'm already at four names :D

I have.

It's so obvious who you have as the 90% as well.

Nice team ACF ( 24 separate riders in action )
Kreuziger, Duarte, P Velits and probably Menchov/ Haussler to get you good points. I think Menchov might even win P-N over Wiggins/ others.

Good luck but dont get too excited because we all have most of our riders in action over the next few weeks.

He abandoned in the Ruta del Sol, said he had no power in the legs. They took him to a doctor, but I haven't heard anything since. Could be another mono story, who knows.

Thanks for the update.

Heh, that shows admirable commitment, but I'd say it's a wasted effort this early in the season. :D

Might even be counterproductive.

Theres one guy who should be on everyones provisional list by now.

This is turning out to be quite a good week for me I think. Guardini is doing his stuff in Langkawi (with Pelucchi and Colbrelli scoring some minor points as well), Quintana and Poels 1-2 in Murcia, Demare won Le Samyn and I could potentially score a few points in Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen also. I had no one in Strade Bianche though.

Edit: as I wrote this, Demare took some small points in Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen and is now in profit!
Edit 2: I completely forgot that I had Kreuziger in my team. I was actually really surprised when I went through my team just a while ago.

Few unexpected points from Strade Bianche ... Iglinskiy, Ballan, Kreuziger ...

Happy to see Spartacus back killing the field :D

While looking through some old documents, I found this as one of my earliest drafts:

POELS Wout
PINOT Thibaut
ANTON HERNANDEZ Igor
KREUZIGER Roman
BOONEN Tom
COSTA Rui Alberto Faria
GUARDINI Andrea
POZZATO Filippo
PORTE Richie
TALANSKY Andrew
BATTAGLIN Enrico
VAN KEIRSBULCK Guillaume
VELITS Peter
HARDY Romain
MADRAZO RUIZ Angel
HENAO MONTOYA Sergio Luis
BLYTHE Adam
KREDER Michel
DEMARE Arnaud
ROGERS Michael
KELDERMAN Wilco
VANMARCKE Sep
SANTORO Antonio
PUCCIO Salvatore
BRESCHEL Matti
PELUCCHI Matteo
MOSER Moreno
ELISSONDE Kenny
LANDA MEANA Mikel
QUINTANA ROJAS Nairo Alexander
MAJKA Rafal
COLBRELLI Sonny
SLAGTER Tom Jelte

That would have put me in the lead by a hundred points at the moment :D

But that was before I decided I didn't want to include guys like Porte and Rogers whom I don't really like that much, and guys like Blythe and Fenn that I don't know much about.

Guess I should have kept Kreder and Hardy though :(

This is really a good week, scoring points from Demare (2x), Petit, Iglinski, Kreuziger and Quintana.

Let's see, for PN we have: Sicard, Viviani, Boonen, LL Sanchez, Renshaw, Kroon, Boeckmans, Larsson, Maaskant, Vanmarcke, Vandenbergh.

Only expecting to get some points from the sprinters among the above. But hoping that LL Sanchez will be his former self.

I'll have to delete my 2012 shortlist because all it does is show me who I should've picked.

Yeh it is basically the riders who are riding the olympic track: so basically the australian TP squad + some of the Brits TP and Viviani (+ possibly Kluge)

Bad day for me.

Seems stupid now to have dropped Iglynski.

I regret that.

Don't regret dropping Quintana. In the hindsight its the wrong decision but back then I didn't think this would be the year he'd jump.

Indeed it seems like he is truly readying himself for the classics and the damage to people without him's cq chances may be fatal if he can continue to improve into Gent-wevelgem and TOF

Although I dropped Iglinskiy from my team, and didn't consider Quintana, I'm not regretting that. Hopefully things will go better for me in Paris-Nice.

Paris-Nice

Tom Boonen
Jens Voigt
Richie Porte
Romain Sicard
Andrey Kashechkin
Robert Kiserlovski
Luis Leon Sanchez
Gustav Larsson
Karsten Kroon
Martijn Maaskant
