Setting 39th atm and things are sure crowded around position 40

Well based on stage 1 I think my Giro is going to be a disaster
My big hope was for Goss to take a number of stage wins but things are not going to get much better than his position in that stage.
I guess there are still a few of the harder stages where we might hang on when Cav is dropped but will need to see.

Weening to podium, it's my only hope

So I just looked what riders I got doing Giro and realized that I will not score much either.

Bennati
Ferrari
Dekker
Trentin
Roux
Cobo
Bobridge

So unless Bennati and Ferrari score some points I dont see much coming from the rest.

The price of cheese has gone up by around blah blah..

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side..

Does anyone have a worse Giro team than this:

Cobo
Bobridge
Bole
Breschel

That can't possibly be right, can it?

I could very well be shut out altogether as I wouldn't be shocked to see none of these guys finish the race.

Woo, finally Rebellin and now Battaglin are scoring me some points. I think that's my most points in a week (yes, not the same week for the purposes of the game, but I'll take what I can get) since Lofkvist won the Tour Med. I have nowhere to go but up... right?

right?

Sitting very pretty in second overall. Not a bad debut season. Giro squad looking VERY lightweight though

Angoli was looking OK but gave his wheel to Nibali.
Kelderman & Kruijswick could do something when Guesink has his normal bad day.
Bobridge is a shell of the man he was 2 years ago
Dekker - ditto above
Haas I have hopes for, if he gets of the leash
Cobo is hopefully getting better after his fall and maybe in week 3
Cavendish can keep bringing in the points

We see where we are in a couple of weeks

Dowsett looking like he will be a good pick. And we haven't even gotten to British national championships and worlds where he got most of his points last year.

Need a good giro so as not to come last.
Hopefully majka, pozzovivo,kangert,niemiec. can provide
Also have cobo, lancaster, pozzatto, breschel, oss, bole, bobridge, appolonio.
Get up the road!

Coquard looking good in Picardie with the potential for some very good GC points.
My Giro team is nothing special : Aru, Bobridge, Kruijswijk, Evans, Fischer, Roux, Le Bon, Breschel. Hopefully Evans will continue to pick up points and score a good GC and Kruijswijk will climb in the GC (he has a good recovery).

However the most important news is this :

Wiggins wants to do worlds.

Froome wants to do worlds (road race defo, maybe tt too)

will there be a 3rd spot?

Thomas also said (although some time ago) he want to focus on the TT worlds after the TDF. Although he has the worst papers at the moment from those 4.

Pretty good week so far, Viviani finally earning some points, Landa also finally earning some points. Still profiting for picking Coquard . Random points by Vanmarcke.

To compensate for my horrible team in the Giro, with only TAWK for GC points :D

Now Matthews to win some stages in Cali (getting some 2nd places behind Sagan more likely) and Meyer to get some GC points there.

Damn. Coquard had a poor final stage and could only get 2nd overall in Picardie.
Still ~120 points for a 3-day .1 race is not bad. I wonder what happened in the last stage though, as 12th in this sprinting field is clearly not where he belongs. 36 points from Barguil in a race I thought I did not even have a rider competing in, is a good surprise and of course Evans is still going strong in Italy.
