Just submitted my team. I'm never totally happy with my team - it's always hard to fit in everyone you want, and in the end I had to include a few that I didn't really wanted, but I'm ready to compete :D

Points distribution:

5 >400pts riders
2 300-399pts riders
3 200-299pts riders
7 100-199pts riders
13 1-99pts riders
3 zero-pointers

Just submitted mine too :D

I really don't know what to expect from coming season, hope I went with the right strategy. First year I was barely into the top 100, last year just outside top 20, so I want to move up to top 10 now. :D

Just submitted mine. I've been working on it all year. Riders coming and going. Lampre mess leading to some excluded riders which made me rework 10-15 riders of the team. Kept working on things until just a few days ago. Can't see myself making any more changes, so the team is in. Hoping for top 20. But it's going to be tense. Looking at the Velorooms team, I share almost none of the top point riders there. People have completely different views on what riders are going to do well.

5 >400pts riders
3 300-399pts riders
4 200-299pts riders
5 100-199pts riders
11 1-99pts riders
5 zero-pointers

Just submitted mine. It is my first CQ Ranking Manager participation, so I hope it won't be a complete disaster. I am a big Canondale and Peter Sagan fan so I have some riders from this team.(not Sagan cuz he is too expensive).

6 >400pts riders
4 300-399pts riders
5 200-299pts riders
5100-199pts riders
8 1-99pts riders
5 0 pointers

I hope this team will be better than my 2013 team. Tried to pick more 'expensive' riders instead of picking riders around the mean, who are basically doms.

5 over 400
3 between 300 and 399
3 between 200 and 299
8 between 100 and 199
12 between 1 and 99
2 zero pointers

Team submitted.
Considering I finished top 10 this year, only victory will be good enough in 2014:D
Some statistics:
4 over 400 (top three costing over 2900)
10 in range 200-400
7 in range 100-199
11 in range 1-99
and 1 zero pointer
Most popular countries: Italy with 8 and Belgium with 7 riders.
8 riders in common with the Velorooms team. And not one single neo-pro made the team this year.
Thanks again to Skidmark and all others who keeps this great game alive!

Quick note, guys: I've received 2 teams with Visconti for his 2013 score (480). I know the opening post is long, but it is explained there that due to his Ferrari-related suspension he costs his 2011 score (1282). Please note that when picking your teams.

Why would't Visconti's 2013 points count when he was only suspended for the first 6 days and missed no race time. There weren't even any scheduled races by then. It seems like a common sense exception should be made in this case.

This morning I only had one spot on my team left to fill before finalizing it, 4 hours later I finally have finalized my team. :)

Tbh I prefer the current rules, as it's far more fair and objective with a black-and-white rule that doesn't require any subjective rulings, but where everyone can figure out one their own what a rider costs.

Just submitted my team. I'm not 100% satisfied but I was tired of thinking about it and constantly changing riders. It's just a game :p

While I totally understand that argument, restricting riders is complicated and having the calendar year as a cutoff simplifies things. I foresee if I made an exception for Visconti that I would hear people say 'but what about this rider'? Because there would be no real reason to make an exception for Visconti other than it didn't affect his season, which you can say about a lot of riders for a lot of reasons. So, I guess from my personal perspective, I also don't want to have to deal with that.

Regardless, I recognize that there are a lot of perspectives represented here and it's hard to make everyone happy, so I hope people at least appreciate it if I try to be as clear as possible for everyone.
