He would be my second favorite to win AGR and the first to win FW.goddamnit
second best puncheur in the world out before the ardennes
hard to know i guess if he will even be fully ready for the tour

No chance. He is back on his bike but doing zone 1 rides probably. He had small fractures and ligament damage in his leg/knee. At this point is just looking to the TdF, Ardennes start in one week.back on the bike 2 weeks after Catalunya crash. Could he have saved his ardennes? He won't be in top form which makes me doubt his ability to get a win.
Didn't see this coming. Riding the Tour of the Alps this week. In prep for LBL.back on the bike 2 weeks after Catalunya crash. Could he have saved his ardennes? He won't be in top form which makes me doubt his ability to get a win.

Probably the only way he can regain some form ahead of Sunday. Worked for Ciccone (I think?!?)

Tom Pidcock exclusive: Inside the remarkable recovery from his horror crash, and why he’s still targeting Liège-Bastogne-Liège
Just 24 days after crashing down the side of a mountain in Catalonia, the Briton returns to racing on Monday – this is how he did itwww.nytimes.com
he hasn't. because there isn't one yet...he's been taken off the startlist for LBL
makes sense when he cant compete in the classics after his injury and just wants some racing in before the july prepHe‘s doing the Tour of the Alps, weird decision

Maybe not in shape for FlecheIf he's recovered, it's a crime that he's not going to Fleche; he'd be the absolute favorite.

if you just read the article you'll see?!
I was going by PCS - where he was removed from their LBL startlist today
He is not removed from PCS's start list for LBL though.
I would think it's more of a last attempt to get back on track before Liege.makes sense when he cant compete in the classics after his injury and just wants some racing in before the july prep
Tom's an exciting rider in my opinion, so I'm glad to see him back in the bunch, specially winning. Chapeau!its literally detailed on his instagram, assuming this share works

but basically summary is
bruising on the tibia and fibula, stress fractures inside the bone
suspected ALL injury front outer side of the knee, pulled a bit of bone off where the ligament attaches
grade 2 MCL on the inner side of the knee
sprain ofthe LCL on the outer side of the knee
fluid swelling on the knee joint
no Id imagine the scans were spot on, and really all thats happened since is the swelling and the bruising have gone done. the MCL only needs about 4weeks to recover, doesnt require surgery. Remember Lindsey Vonn went skiing without a ruptured ACL and bone bruising, this was only a partial tear, Im sure Tom has just been doing strength exercises on the knee, and theyll obviously look for any reaction from sustained activity.Tom's an exciting rider in my opinion, so I'm glad to see him back in the bunch, specially winning. Chapeau!
Stunning comeback from these injuries less than a month ago. Did they get it wrong on the initial scans or is this just how a world class athlete with the best trainers and doctors can recover (no clinic innuendo intended).
