Just sent my team. Last year I was pretty bad so I hope I can improve. I changed my strategy and went for 2 very expensive(1000+) cyclists that will hopefully score in both GTs and hilly Classics. If this 2 will have very good season my team should be very strong so I hope they stay away from injuries.
Purito and Froome?

Lots of decent/good expensive riders next year imo: Sagan, Quintana, Froome, Purito, Martin and Canc to name the most obvious above 1000 points.

Well it seems my hard drive has failed and gone is my short list for this year, last years team and scores. On the good side my team sucked last year so maybe it'll work out for the best. Computer should done in a couple of days, I hope. Hoping to finish in the top 75 this time. Good luck to all.

Some very good expensive riders. Don't know if I'll go for some of those or some less expensive...

Didn't want to pick Fatty but kind of have to now that he has decided to do Giro-Vuelta.

Pretty hard to fit him with Dawg, Murito and Cav though. At least given the lack of easy cheap picks this year.

Looking forward to improving my all-time ranking ;)

Looking forward to you not improving your all-time ranking :p I probably should start looking at my team if I want to keep you at bay.

Just a note, i'm not included in the All-Time Rankings, I didn't score many points (9660), but please just insert my name there.

:)

Sorry about that, it seems like I forgot to add the newcomers of 2014. It will be fixed by the next update of the all time rankings ;)

Interesting. I find that there's a big lack of riders in the 100-400 range, but there are a lot of sub-100's I want to fit in.

Just downloaded the CQ file on their website, says 23/11, is this correct or is there a more recent file I somehow missed?

200-299: 4
300-399:1

Just submitted my team to avoid getting some "good" ideas in the last minute;)
Some stats:
Riders +1000: 2
Riders 500-999: 1
Riders 100-499: 18
Riders 1-99: 12

Riders 24 years or younger : 19
Riders on World Tour teams : 20
Country with most riders : Italy with 6
Team with most riders : xxxx with 4
Numbers of riders I have kept on my team from 2014 : 7

Overall happy with my team; a few riders who I think will be very popular have been dropped as a calculated risk. In addition I think I might have too many youngsters and maybe ideally would have liked more World Tour riders. But still I cannot see any reason why my selected 33 should not give me at least a third consecitive top 20 placing in 2015:D

Good luck to all, and now the long wait to see who I have completely forgotten in a week or so:D

No, that's the most recent one... they always put one out on 12/31 though, which is the final official one for the game, so that should be up in the next day or two.

Only 1 NED yet 80% fangirl? No love for your home-country riders?

The 31-12 CQ update is published.

Sinkewitz points from Trofeo Laigueglia were nullified, so there are some changes for the riders that finished behind him

Hey, so I've gotten the final, official update as mentioned above, and yes, there were changes made, and also small races that happened between the last update in November and now. Here is the updated 'create your team' spreadsheet with the official numbers that will be used for the game. Be sure to use it to check; I have also updated the link in post #1 of this thread to reflect these changes. Currently 4 of the 19 teams submitted before today have been put over 7500 points by these changes - all of these people will receive PMs today.

On a related note, if your team is over the 7500 limit (because of changes in CQ points if it was submitted before the final update, or because of miscalculation on your part) I will send you a PM and you will have the chance to change your team up to the deadline - since many teams are submitted in the final day I may not notice this until after the deadline if there's a backlog to process. So if you're handing in last minute, it's especially imperative that you be careful that you're using the right numbers. If your team is over and I haven't heard your changes by deadline time, I will simply remove one rider that brings you below 7500 while keeping you closest to it.

I just sent my team in. Wanted to wait until the last minute but since I have been flipping the names in/out like a maniac over the last few days I decided to sent my team in and call it a day.

At the end, as usual with me, when choosing between two riders, I decided to go with the riders I like better so the heart won the battle once again.

Hopefully, I will make the TOP 100 this year as it is a shame to not make the TOP100 for someone who has been playing this game every year :D

Good luck to all players and happy new year!

Submission to my first ever participation done :). Find my team too young (average 24.7), but it is VERY hard to select for 7500 (without resounding to "0" valued pros just for the sake of having an entry....)

Come down to 30. I am quite happy (for the moment anyway) with my team.

Just a tip, fill those remaining 3 spots up with zero pointers or 1-2-3 pointers if you have any points left. They might score some points and who knows, maybe one of them has a great year and scores 50 or so:) You have those spots left on your team so why not use them :)

Picked my team and really liked it, can't be a good sign. Also, I'm not sure about my highest priced rider and I didn't have to include any 0-pointers which was strange. Might still tweak it alot in the next few days, but will keep comparing the team I'll send in to this one.

Fun year with some likeable riders that could do well or disappoint (once again).
