Well according to Hugh Porter the top placed Ettix rider is Dan Martin.

I'm watching on BiKe as I can't stand Porter. Plus OJ Borg and Rob Hayles have been a good laugh this week.

Lesser of two evils. I cant get Bike otherwise I would watch that.

Porter is shocking. Just shocking. Bangs on about track ALL the time.

Horrible tactics from Lotto Soudal.
Doing so much work for this...

Just got swapped in the lead up to the turns it seemed, maybe not riding hard enough or did too much work to maintain the pace.

Just going to post the same. Absolutely nowhere, guess they probably didn't do their homework on that technical finish, you had to be in the first 3/4 riders round those corners.

If one doe s NOT have SKY or Virgin ...I have BT TV ...can one get this BIKE
Is there a on line subscription

I really like Rob Hayles ...he makes me laugh
I rememebr him doing the expert stuff on ToB a few years ago with Ned Boulting and he was asked live on TV if he thought Bradley Wiggins had a chance . He replied he saw Andrew Flint going into Bradleys hotel and it depended on whether they cracked open the mini bar or not :D

Today's stage showed the folly of 6 riders teams in a week stage race - Especially one on difficult terrain.
This field is quite weak and heterogeneous - I would not extrapolate too much.

The race has 11 WT teams - It's a mixture of strong teams and some weak WT teams - It's a fair sample.

Gallopin & Cummings aren't in the first group.

Think there back in now, group came back together. Very few riders wanting to work

Very odd that the Movistar rider refused to work with Roche. Surely their best chance of a stage win is from a break as they lost Lobato today, have nobody for GC and were riding aggressively earlier in the stage.

For those who want some info on tomorrow's finish, I'm gonna quickly explain the run in.

The riders come in on Upper Bristol road which is downhill for an initial stretch (lightly) before going pretty flat for about 1km. The road is fairly wide and well paved. Because of that, the riders will be coming in fast to Marlborough Lane, which is narrower and comes after a tight 90 degree left turn. This could be a problem. The 200m on that road are uphill, not steep but at 6 or 7%. Then comes another corner, this time to the right, again at 90 degrees. This then goes onto a fairly narrow road (not single carriage way ofc but only 6m wide I'd say) very gently uphill at 2 or 3% for 250m. This should mean that the race, should it finish in a sprint, could be good for a lighter sprinter like Ewan or a good climbing sprinter (Matthews/Sagan/Coquard), or even a puncheur like Alaphillipe or Gilbert at his best. I don't expect Cav to feature because of the track he's been doing (he doesn't seem to be climbing very well). Maybe Nizzolo or Greipel who we saw at the Giro do very well on an uphill sprint. But we'll see.

With 2 WT races (Vuelta and Canadian) going on at the same time, it's not possible to have a strong field. It *is* quite a weak field, and also quite heterogeneous with riders you never see in many other races. That's no shame, it's the same with other non-WT stage races. But I don't think results should be used to make sweeping conclusions about 6-rider teams in major week-long stage races - where the field (and stakes) will be very different.
