2 Riders DSQ for riding on the pavement. They attacked to get in the group on the pavement. One from Bike Canyon, not the first from that team to attack on the pavement this race! Happend on stage 1 too just wasnt caught on camera bike, but clearly seen on the helo shot.

It was only a matter of time.

The police and stewerds allowing a shockingly placed park car just after a corner. Riders straight into the back of it. Smashing the back window. Brent Bookwalter looked in pain. FFS.

Amateurs in this country. We try and make out were the best FFS

i really don't know Uk is a great country why not having a two weeks gt ?There are some proper climbs?

Why not have a two weeks gt?
Good luck finding someone to back that idea.

I could see it happening to the Vuelta one day in the not to distant future
I meant turning this one week stage race is a two weeks GT.
That could perhaps happen but I imagine the owners will fight for it's futur as a three week race.

In the old pro-am days, the Tour of Britain was a two week race. Same as the Peace Race, Tour de l'Avenir, Niedersachsen-Rundfahrt, Coors Classic. The Volta a Portugal was even three weeks at times.

The Vuelta is periodically mooted to be reduced, but mainly by hopeful expansionists who are looking for space in the calendar and see it as a softer target than the Giro and Tour, many of whom hope for a more interchangeable F1-type model than the current - and only really viable - cycling model, which is much more like sportscar racing, where interlocking series with different categories converge on the most important super-endurance races. The Vuelta is a Grand Tour, and Grand Tours are three weeks long, ergo the Vuelta is three weeks long; the fact remains that you can't have an F1-styled model where each race is equal in stature (officially if not in fans and drivers' minds) and then follow the money to the highest bidder because the format of races varies wildly in cycling.

The TOB should concentrate on cementing its position as a strong one-week race before we start mooting revolution. It had been getting much better in recent years, but this year looks like a major regression.

I just saw the profiles, wtf is this. Like seriously, have they made the parcours as easy as possible on purpose and in the process wanted to torture spectators and commentators with endless and predictable sprinter stages?
