ok... team is ready - I think as a newbie on forum I can't send PM... is there any other possibility to send team before deadline?
Thanks in advance

I think you only need one additional post (so that your post count is at least 10).
wow... thanks - looks I'm on pace...

I have to say, this was a weird year. I had a really hard time finding relatively expansive picks in the 300-500 points area while there are seemingly endless relatively cheap picks in the region of around 50 points who I can't all include because otherwise I'd end up with a team worth around 3000 points. In the last two years I always had many expansive picks when I started building my team and then had to search for some nonames with few points just to get 33 riders. Man I'm nervous. Can't wait for January 4th. :D

My team:
>500: 4
300-500: 3
200-300: 8
100-200: 6
<100: 12
Pretty much the same here. Could have happily picked a team at 4500 points. Maybe something to do with all the new Pro-Conti teams and so many dropping down a level? Also, a lot of good riders who missed nearly all of the season last year.

Might as well make my first 1000+ point pick. Can think of one obvious GC one, but not a rider that excites me. Though that might change if he wins everything :)

Thanks I was having the same problem

Hey everyone, just a note that the submission deadline is a little less than 24 hours away! But after that, there is a buffer period for revisions of teams that need changes (I receive so many in the last day of entry that I can't confirm them all right away). So I'd ask folks to refrain from posting their teams until 23:59pm CET on the 3rd (basically, midnight on the 4th) when all of the entries and revisions have come in. Thanks, keep the entries coming!

Just sent in my team, but I gotta say that I'm not that happy with it. I'm starting to second guess many more picks but here we go. Can't wait to see everyone else's teams. A bit of statistics:

Team sent in. Not done much research this year, but hey at least I'm in the game. GL to everyone!

I decided to try a risky strategy this year with
3 riders over 1000 points
2 riders 500 - 1000
7 riders 100 - 500
14 riders 0- 100
7 zeros (to heroes ... hopefully)

Not sure why I thought this was a good idea but, as I haven't really done terribly well in my first two attempts, I'm looking for at least some improvement ... and at the very least, some BIG weeks. If the big hitters stay injury free, I'll do fine.

It's a valid strategy. There are some decent options for a top-heavy approach this year.

Yeah, I think there are at least 4 decent picks worth more than 1000 points. Actually I'd be surprised if the majority of the players hasn't picked at least one of them.

Team submitted. Very tricky this year, so many potentially good low cost picks and quite a few tempting riders in the 1000+ range.

Finally I ended up with 33 riders for a value of 7498.

Points range breakdown:
0-100 14
101-200 8
201-500 7
501-1000 3
1000+ 1

15 Nationalities represented, with Italy the most with 7 riders.
26 from World Tour and 7 from Pro Conti from 18 different teams

Bit of a mix of young riders and a few guys looking to regain former glories. Taken a few gambles and a few picks more with heart than head, but all in all failry pleased....until I see everyone elses and realise I have missed someone obvious.

Just submitted my team as well

>500: 4
300-500: 3
200-300: 6
100-200: 8
0-100: 12

This is an unusual year indeed. There were plenty of expensive picks which seem reasonable to me, but few which I'm really completely comfortable about. Lot's of obvious picks below, say, 400 points or something, though. Today before submitting I swapped a couple of medium expensive picks for a proper expensive one, hopefully I won't be beating myself up over it throughout the season...... :D

My team's in.
I wanted to review it during the last couple of days but I've been ill so couldn't work on it properly. I changed a few picks today and I still don't know why I did it

33 riders, 7498 points.

1000+: 1 rider
500-1000: 3
300-500: 5
100-300: 9
0-100: 15

I do believe there was huge upside in some very expensive picks. Ended up taking only one 1000+ rider but I'm sure I will regret it.

Italy is the most represented country with 8 riders, followed by France (6) and Spain/Colombia (4).

Firstly a happy 2018 to all of you, secondly let the games begin. Really excited to see all the teams and thoughts about them. My debut here will hopefully not disappoint.
