I am happy with last week :)
You should be :)

Bad news for my team with the confirmation that Felline is still suffering from a parasitic infection. But the most important thing is that he recovers (and then I'll pick him again next year but I suppose he will be more popular then ;) )

I was just looking through the popularity table and realized, the top picks are really performing horribly this year. Of the top 10 only one single is already into profit (Guardini, who btw is ofc also the only top 10 pick I don't have  ) and most other picks aren't even anywhere near getting into profit and have been rather disappointing. Wasn't the best year for me to be high up in the popularity table.
That said, this week should be good, with Craddock, Kreuziger, Alaphilippe and Serry although I'm a bit angry that Brandao has now made some good points as he and Capiot were the last two riders I scratched from my team.

Craddock finished in the top 10 at Amstel? I'm shocked, but nice for the points for my team. Also Alejandro had a much better result today than he had last year at Amstel.

Yes Craddock did quite well. The announcers kept assuming it was Woods in the lead pack. Wrong!! Just wish Roman got the win. I need to stop my freefall.

Great to see Brandao back in form after being very unlucky last year. Almost half of the season off and missing Volta because of mononucleosis - I hope he comes back with a vengeance in August.

Another quite rare pick, Mark Padun, hasn't really scored yet, but I'm impressed by his late showings. Finished today with the front group and was battling for the KOM already at PV.

This Week's Top Scorers

Rank Team Points this week
1 LightBing 449
2 search 378
3 Yellow Knight 345
4 Wallenquist 332
5 Gigs_98 329

With only a few one day races and the GP de Beiras beside the main event of the week (Tro Bro Leon obviously), this week was never going to reach the heights of the previous updates. Unless of course you just happen to own all of Kreuziger, Benoot, Alaphilippe, Silva, Brandao and Craddock like LightBing. A 71 pts difference with the second place search, who scored 378 pts (Valverde, Alaphilippe, Gasparotto and Brandao) for the entire week as a point of reference, is impressive to say the least. Yellow Knight relies on the specialist of Amstel Gold Race (Gasparotto) and an impressive ride by Craddock to complement his top priced riders Sagan and Alaphilippe for third on the week. Wallenquist and Gigs_98 both use the Alaphilippe-Kreuziger duo to get a top 5 finish meaning that none of the teams that selected Valgren made the cut.

This Week's High Movers

Rank Team Up/down
1 search (+23)
2 Yellow Knight (+16)
3 adamski101 (+14)
4 del1962 (+12)
4 yoyokt (+12)
4 torcia_86 (+12)

LightBing is too high in the overall to feature here (more on that later) leaving the top spots to search (+23) and Yellow Knight (+16). Adamski101 is the first Valgren team to make an appearance in the update and jumps 14 spots. Del1962 (Sagan, Gasparotto), yoyokt (Valverde, Gasparotto, Craddock) and torcia_86 (Valgren, Alaphilippe) are tied for fourth (+12).

Green Jersey Competition

Rank Team Total
1 LightBing 132
2 Kryvo 108
3 Roubaix 102
4 TheArt 90
4 Jon_Ezeitza 90

LightBing takes control here with their second update win in three weeks while Kryvo had another good week to overtake Roubaix. TheArt and Jon_Ezeitza are the only other teams less than a weekly win away from the top spot so there is some real separation for the first time this year.

Top 10 Overall

Rank Up/down Team
1 (-) Eyeballs Out 5038
2 (+7) LightBing 4925
3 (+3) ruvu75 4883
4 (+1) TheArt 4855
5 (+2) trackstand 4832
6 (-4) GP Blanco 4826
7 (-3) Koronin 4807
8 (-5) Shawnm4747 4727
9 (+2) Giallo 4722
10 (-) scrooll07 4693

Eyeballs Out holds off LightBing (2nd, +7) for the top spot thanks to the efforts of Gasparotto and Alaphilippe. Ruvu75 climbs on the podium with the efforts of the usual suspects (Alaphilippe, Gasparotto and Craddock) but also rare pick Madouas. Giallo (+2, 9th) enters the top 10 with their extreme top heavy approach bearing fruits in the classics (Valverde, Sagan AND Alaphilippe). Nathanptz (15th, -7) makes way as the lack of top level punchers on their team starts to show.

I'm still in the top 10. Wow. I knew this wasn't going to be a good week. Points from 4 riders. Obviously Valverde got me the most. However a some nice points from both Craddock and Madouas and 5 points from Betancur. I am very, very happy with picking Madouas and Craddock. Did think Craddock could get more points than he had last year, just didn't expect a top 10 to really increase the points count. Valverde could actually be in the positive by the end of LBL (and if he can pull off another double will be). Betencur on the other hand.....hopefully he'll eventually break even (same with Cavendish). Looking forward to seeing what Soler and Amador can do at Romandie.

I hoped to move into the top 20, and with this weeks 5th place I really went up to 19th place, so I'm really happy. Now I hope for good performances by Ciccone, MAL and Brambilla in the stage races this week as well as big points from Alaphilippe and maybe Kreuziger.

It's definitely my best season so far,I've never been so high in the ranking during this part of the year.I doubt I can hold this positions after the Grand Tours as I'm lacking of GC riders but it's still nice to see my name there.

After a poor start to the season I'm now ranked 13. That's crazy. And that's with a few poor choices, like not having Chaves and Vakoc getting his season ruined basically.
Do you know whether or not Vakoc will race at all this season? Because completely losing a 400 points rider is pretty bad for my team.
Anyway, my luck from last week carried over to this one and both races taking place right now, today had a stage winner who is in my team. That said, all the performances in these smaller races could be completely overshadowed by the massive points at stake in the Ardennes.

Vakoc may "ride" later this year but I dont think he will be in shape to "race" for any points. He is lucky to be alive!

A few notes on my team. Those pricey picks.

Sagan - 2296 | 1126 up about 380 points but that probably those 400 points he will not get for the WC title
Jungels - 784 | 183 so far only 25% but hopefully he will score some points at Giro
Chaves -505 | 142 - similar to Jungels so far
McLay - 304 | 32 - OMG - what a disaster so far. Sprinter and only 32 points?! Worst pick so far!
DvP - 287 | 175 - So far not too bad, but not great either
Bonifazio - 276 | 20 - Same as McLay - at least he won a stage at Croatia today so there is some hope to break even
Restrepo - 236 | 10 - Who? Where is he? I did not notice him anywhere since the TdU
Kamna? - 220 | 11 - OMG - I thought McLay was my worst pick. Is he sick/injured or something?
Formolo - 217 | 182 - Solid pick
Morton (Lachlan) - 217 | 15 - I'm delusional because I thought he will break even after the TdU

With all this crap above, it is a miracle that I'm not dead last and still hanging somewhere in the middle.

Absolutely horrible tour of the alps stage for me. Ciccone I think was the first rider over the top of the last climb who didn't make the front group and Lopez just threw away 9 seconds just for the lulz. I know, it's just one stage but I'm just so angry about this result
