Ciccone suddenly being competent in the TT was a nice surprise today. Could this finally be the year where my expensive picks work out? (knocks on wood)
Yes, with Morgado, Magnier, Vingegaard, van Aert, Ciccone and Thibau Nys your team looks quite promising at the moment.

While I also have Vingegaard, van Aert and Magnier, I have Riccitello, Gall and Lipowitz. The only one out of these, who had a really good start was Magnier. But let´s see, what will happen the next couple of days..

Update #4: marksi says 'see ya!' to the rest of the competition

Another buildup week this week as more and more riders kick off their seasons, with stage races in Oman and Provence, and 1.PS races in Spain and Portugal. And we have our first team of the season that gets two weekly wins!

This Week's Top Scorers

RankTeamPoints this week
1marksi457
2DJW372
3Crevaison365
4Sneekes346
5Gotland339

It was a close week among many teams (and a bad week for many others), but marksi stands head and shoulders above the rest, taking their second win - after winning week 2 - as the only team to nab over 400 points. This is due largely to a few specific picks, and most importantly unique pick David Gaudu (143 points) or his strong showing in Oman. Also contributing to the win are Antonio Morgado (130, 16) and Paul Magnier (78, 37) for their 1-2 in Portugal, as well as most popular pick in Cian Uijtdebroeks (73, 80).

DJW edges out the competition to take 2nd thanks to Morgado/Uijtebroeks and unique pick Valentin Paret-Peintre (140), while Crevaison comes in just behind in third with a Morgado/Magnier/Cian combo.

This Week's High Movers

RankTeamUp/down
1Crevaison(+31)
2JumboVismaFan(+19)
3Nyssinator(+18)
4Devils_Elbow(+15)
5DJW(+14)

Third in the last ranking, Crevaison runs away with this one, moving up almost a full third of the table with 31 spots. JumboVismaFan (Magnier/Cian as well as 58 from unique pick De Lie and 3-team-picked Sam Watson) and Nyssinator (Morgado/Magnier/Cian) round it out on the podium.

Green Jersey Competition

RankTeamTotal
1marksi106
2Salvarani65
3Jakob74757
3peixotini57
5Lortnoc49

Unsurprisingly, with 2 weekly wins marksi - who was already 4 points out of first in this ranking - moves into a solid lead, with no other teams in the top 5 scoring points this week.

Top 10 Overall

RankUp/downTeamPoints
1(+3)marksi1618
2(-1)Jakob7471457
3(+3)Gotland1387
4(-2)DJ Sprtsch1353
5(-2)Salvarani1274
6(-1)Lortnoc1174
7(+10)triley361136
8(-1)peixotini1132
9(+10)Sneekes1102
10(+14)DJW1089

Also unsurprisingly, marksi moves into top spot, having been in 4th last week, and dethroning Jakob747 after one week on top. Gotland moves onto the podium, displacing early leader DJ Sprtsch as well. Further down, we see triley36, Sneekes, and DJW jump into the top 10, at the expense of three former game winners in skidmark, Object and ingsve.

This week sees CQ-picked riders fighting for 2nd in the UAE Tour, while the Algarve and Andalucia races give us a rich vein of possible points/riders to cheer for. One more week until Opening Weekend!

On the plus side, Morgado will enter quad digits somewhere around Ronde if he keeps this up.
On De Plus' side? Yes, Morgado is looking very scary. But luckily for me, Almeida also looks good. Vingegaard a bit disappointing, along with his team, but him and Almeida might still end up 1-2 in this race. It's been complicated a bit by so many others being in the mix though. A lot of people all the way down to Schachmann can potentially do a good TT and be in the mix for the podium.

Also a bit unfortunate for me that JSM somehow didn't make the front group in Andalucia. But he still looks better than last year.

Two of my more expensive picks, Onley and Christen, are picking up points nicely and, more importantly, looking good. Both relatively rare picks too. Tomorrow two real big ones, Joe Blackmore and Lenny Martinez , get to it in Var. Hope they start to show something.
