Not entirely fair though. I guess the Vertical race is the most relevant discipline (without downhill skiing and individual as opposed to the overall ranking where team results are also counted). And there he is the number 2 of all time after some Spanish guy (who is, however, some years older).
1 1/2 months ago, at the World Championship in Andorra, Palzer won the silver medal in the Vertical race. Remi Bonnet, Switzerland, won quite by some confident margin though. And he is younger than Palzer. So if the experiment goes well, this might be the new target guy for cycling teams
