Landis's claims don't exactly have the same traction with aso as other scandals have gone in the past. You gotta figure that has played heavily in the decision to allow RS to ride.

Fair enough. But now there are at least 3 riders (2 of whom are riding at the Tour this year) corroborating the doping within the team. While not completely rehabilitating for Landis, it does lend more credibility to his account. The more what he says checks out (strippers and coke), the harder it is to say that he's lying.

I don't understand why he would deny the strippers. It is well known that Armstrong likes strip joints. A trivial amount of checking will expose the lie.

and as also pointed out earlier if it was frankie the article would have named him. frankies doping history is well known, there would be absolutely no point whatsoever in not mentioning his name. I actually think over the last month or so since these allegations came out most of the press have kept FA's name out of it which is interesting.

Anyway, the more I think about it, the more I think Armstrong is starting to make mistakes. To deny the stripper & blow party, that's just stupid. There's no doubt about it. The next thing which should be simple to check is the sale of Trek bikes. C'mon, you don't buy one of those things to hide it, you'll brag about it. There must be dozens of those things going around and hundreds, if not thousands of people will know about them. Some are going to come forward and talk. In fact, Dr. Maserati already mentioned that Darach McQuaid has one.

If Armstrong denies these things now, it will come back to bite him later because it's so easy to find the truth about it. If he confirms, he basically confirms part of Landis's story. He's not in a good place right now.

I assume a sponsor agreement has certain tax exemptions? So, selling the gifted bikes should probably generate sales taxes, which I don't assume were declared?

I have never had contact with a stripper, to be honest, i wouldnt even know where to find a strip club. I remember when i was growing up in the seventies and early eighties we would peek through the windows of the local pubs cos they would have "strippers" on sunday afternoons (in the very loosest sense of the word - as far as i remember they where not actually allowed to strip past their underwear), but i wouldnt know where to even find a strip joint.

They are not very common over here.

I think it is safe to say, if you and a few of your friends paid a couple of women to come back to your hotel to take off their clothes and dance for you, while you all were getting intoxicated (be that liquor or blow), there would be some contact between you and one or more of the women.
