Etixx probably bluffing, come to the front to break it up but not so obviously that teams that may have forgotten about him remember Vakoc is there.

Yeah, I saw Etixx riders cheering when crossing the line, they obviously knew Vakoc was there.

How did he not know about that rule. That is ridiculous. Maybe Sky should spend a little more time teaching their riders about simple, well known rules. If a rule like this is in place then I'm pretty sure that there is a reason.

Dont you know they leave no stone unturned.........well apart from the fundamental basics.

Cookson was there maybe they thought they had a free reign as per usual.

Is it possible the peloton (or at least certain teams) didnt know vakoc was in front? Seems the only explanation for the likes of movistar not chasing. Funnily enough i see to remember vakoc winning a stage of tour of poland solo last year when they didnt know he was away?

Race radios are gash and make the racing boring (albeit safer in the bigger races).

Ettix go to the front and slowed down if you watch them. They arent really pulling at all, they knew Vakoc was up there.

Surely he knows about it considering Froome on Alpe in 2013

If Froome in 2013 was deducted time
rather than simply being fined in Swiss Francs
there might have been forum meltdown.

But why was Saxo and another team (can't remember which) drilling it hard then? Wouldn't make sense.

He didn't get a time penalty because he got Richie to get if for him instead. Porte got the penalty.

I'm never quite sure about Kennaugh. I want to like him but he frequently sounds like a *** on twitter.

Edit - sorry, both Froome and RP got 20 secs in fact.
