It looks like indeed Ryaguas is on of the few who are not very clear yet on the Great Mollema joke. ;)

For some people, it takes a bit more time to actually understand such things, and others never get it.

Ok in plain English: nobody expects Mollema to ride away or destroy the opposition, it's just some joke :)

Please don't hold it against him that he's become some kind of running gag on this forum... he's no Schleck or Gesink. Usually he should be able to handle Dan Martin, though.

LOL! I just was kidding... that's why I put in the end of that sentece "hahahaha"

To be fair, Mollema was the 2nd or 3rd strongest (don't know where to place Danielson) uphill, because at one moment I'm pretty sure he had a 50 meter gap when he was trying to bridge to Martin. But Tom Danielson pulled him back.

Getting pulled back by Tom Danielson?
Surely, this indicates that the great Bauke Mollema is pulling a Lance-like bluff and will win tomorrow's big stage by 10 minutes.;)

It's all long term, he doesn't want to be a favorite at his first TDF.
If they underestimate him he might win it by half an hour in stead of only 20 minutes.

Bauke will part the waters on the Passage du Gois while the others are still stuck on the island. This will gain him 2 hours.

I don't have the power to, some other dudes are doing his site. Ask Marcel Koch :p

But indeed, tomorrow Bauke will clearly ride away on the buut'n'blad and win by what, 5 minutes? at least?

Isn't ACF a woman? Or have I mistaken ACF with some other Aussie poster?
Sportzchick, or whatever her name is? I've always just assumed ACF was male, I'm not sure actually.

He's not a woman or a man. He's boy.

Anyway, more pressing matters, I found the first Vacansoleil rider and it's actually Lagutin who was 12th.

And I also found out why Team Sky was working so hard. It appeard the great Lars Petter Nordhaug was their leader, who turned the hard work of his team into a brilliant 21th place. Let's hope he can turn that into a nice top 20 tomorrow

To be honest I have not really been keeping up with this race (Vuelta a Colombia, was more my fancy) But is ayone looking especially good or exceptionally good here? Especially young riders or at least younger riders? Because perhaps some deals can still be made, and certain teams will need to cut back, or will disappear altogether.

(also off-topic, but shouldn't we have an official Bauke thread?)

You mean when they rode near the front for about 2km with about 40km to go? That hard work?

They were never gonna win the stage so why bother riding as a team at all.

Well, Lars Petter Nordhaug was Skys best rider in 2/3 ardennes classics and has consistently delivered "ok" results in all hilly/mountain stages. Sky really only signed him because EBH demanded it in his contract, and I'm sure they didn't expect him to do so well. Really, Nordhaug has had a really good season working his *** of for everyone else, including having to wait for his exhausted and useless leaders in Fleche Wallone, and he deserves to get his chance here at Tour of Poland. He did an attack in the closing kilometers yesterday as well, and he also had a crash a few days ago.

Yes, it is quite sad that he is their best climber, but no reason to mock on him for that. He is one of the few Sky riders who definitely has exceeded expectations this year.

That would be too easy... I think that he will ride over the waters just to stay warm...

You can't capture the glory of The Great Bauke Mollema in a single thread.

The world is not ready yet for it! and we have to take care of the infidels who try to taint Bauke Mollema's name!

If you read my post correctly, you'd understood I was mocking Sky, or more their questionable tactics of the day, not Nordhaug

Also, the great Bauke himself said about today that he tried to close the gap to Martin but that it was somehow too big for his powers. He did feel he was the strongest of the second group and try to gain some places tomorrow.
This is I think a clever diversion, what he actually means is that it would be more fun to let Martin think he can win, and then destroy him completely tomorrow
