Nice stage again. Watched the last 40 minutes. Poor Marcato.. damn. Really odd. Vacansoleil really showing themselves again. Would've liked to see Marcato attacking a lap later then he did now :)

Hoped to have seen Mollema in the top10 atleast.. :(

Lampre Love in: FAIL. Good win, but not exactly tight team work.
This time Sky decide to start the sprint from 4kms out.

Why were most of Rabobus being lapped?
Had the great Bauke Mollema worn out all his domestiques?

anyone else think that vaconsolei decided that they needed some publicity so they engineered the " i think ive won" scenario.:p

Perhaps footon should try it.;)

They're here mostly with rouleurs, Mollema excepted. Just dropped fair and square. I already thought it was a bit strange to come here with a team fit for a team time trial.

The last 2 stages have not gone well for Vacansoleil. 5 guys sprint too early yesterday, and today!! Ouch.

Damn those interviewers cant speak english and they were interviewing alan davies, so with his accent it didnt go to well. If only i could sign up.

Anyhow. They said tomorow would be a good stage. 5 1st cats though at the begining and maybe a tdp 1st cat is like a tdf 3rd cat. But they said there would be a good finish.

Just to make sure I understand "stomach problems"...

Sagan lost 10 minutes because he had to take a dump?

Or throwing up.
He and another teammate, if that article is translated correctly

Great ride by Alessandro ballan! He is in a good position and has the form to take the overall. He is climbing very well. Wtf happened to Mollema?

Mollema took a bonus second in an intermediate sprint and is 12th overall... not enough?

Tour of Qatar TTT
Tour of Oman stage 3 (bunch sprint, excellent leadout by sutton and excellent sprint by EBH)
Tour of Oman stage 6 (ITT) EBH
Tirreno Adriatico last stage (again sutton leading out EBH)
Last stage in TDU (sutton)
tour of wallonie (1 by russel downing and 1 by Sutton I think)
Tour of Picardie (Ben Swift)
Paris-Nice stage (greg henderson)
Omloop Het Niewsblad (Flecha)
Last stage of dauphine (EBH)

that's all I can remember, but they got a decent amount of wins anyway

The could of won some more races in bigger events such as the tour if they got their leadout right more often.

Unfortunately the other explanation is more likely in light of what Sagan said about this stage and stage 2.

Sagan is very young. I would hope liquigas would not ride him into the ground too early in his career as he is still very young. Ballan seems to have strong form so I will tip him ftw tonight and overall.

Today's finishing climb:
Ustron_8km_m.jpg

I'm not sure Ballan can pull this one off. They're doing yesterday's toughest climb 5 times, plus that final climb with 4 kms at about 8%, and there are quite a few stronger climbers than Ballan in this race, although he does seem to have the form.

Yeah I agree, though he was climbing well in the tour. I think Bauke Mollema will show us what he has got tonight. I think tonight we may see the star of cycling come out and shine! These climbs may be a bit too steep for Ballan but he said that he had better and stronger form coming out of the tour than coming in. What do you think of Albasini as he could win tonight?

Well that would get me cheering :)
Somehow I'm not that sure he will show us he will dominate this stage. He's still young and I would've expected him more upfront at yesterdays finish. Allthough looking at the top10-20 it shows that pure climbing legs were no good at the finish.
I'm certainly gonna watch again today. First time I'm watching Eurosport since ofcourse dutch and belgium tv aren't show this Tour, but I'm liking it so far. Pretty good insight of the course and they rarely name the wrong riders. Something that happens all the time on the Dutch tv. Also a lot of news etc. Good stuff.

I'm not sure why a 500 m cobbled ramp seemed to you to be so perfect for Mollema? Today's finish is more his sort of thing. My favourite for today: Matteo Carrara.

BTW, I understand that Berkhout is the one doing the Eurosport commentary right now. It's not always like that, Danny Nelissen is terrible, certainly when he has Blijlevens with him... they can make you appreciate NOS, which is quite an achievement. Although on digital tv there's always the option to switch to English commentary.
