Hog give her a break, its not easy being Michelle. Do you have any idea how many keyboard warriors she has to deal with on twitter?

I would suggest the easiest way to deal with them is to stop tweeting.

I dont condone the actions of those on twitter personally attacking Cound, but close the account.

Writing an autobiography at age 30 is stupid PR period.
but if you do it, then criticizing teammates is quite standard procedure for sports autobiographies. Its not gonna sell if it doesnt stirr things up a bit, if it doesnt create controversy. I dont think froome/wals did anything outof the ordinary there.

yes its laughable, but his dissing of brad and greg is not unsurprising.
what else was he voing to say? Nice lads, i love them!
that,s not selling,

I thought the book was supposed to be about Chris?
I thought his story was supposed to be so compelling that simply retelling the "facts" would be both riveting and inspiring and that that would be what generated sales?

Ya, know, just like Lance.

Armstrong sold many more books than Froome could ever hope to, but it had nothing to do with petty squabbles amongst teammates. On the contrary, it was all about myth creation, which is what has been simmering for some time now from the Froome/Cound/Sky camp.

Unceremoniously calling out teammates and rivals is better suited to a Jos

Likewise. I never gave much thought to Cound. Nothing wrong with a partner standing by their man.

But the Mandela reference was funny considering the country they now live in. What is Monaco? A self ruling monarchy with zero tax laws? And what better way to deal with it than with humour.

But Bots are very serious and very sensitive.

Maybe I'll print later but the contract discussions with Vaughters are funny.

I'm sure JV will deny what occurred but it is funny.

And no mention of the test in Aigle where Froome's numbers were through the roof.

A lot stuff of the Sky folk law is left out. No Jock Race was my biggest disappointment. I guess when all the chapters are taken up with dissing Wiggins & Brailsford there was no room left for the Atomic Jock Race.

He does claim to have come 2nd to Matthias Frank once. And that was indication of future talent.

You've got to post the contract discussions with JV, you really have too.

Nothing on San Luca sadly. The infamous zig zag is left out :(

The JV stuff to follow. Clearly a contradiction on everything JV has said about Froome in true JV style.

To me, this speaks volumes.

This is perfectly consistent with what we already know about Froome's willingness to bend the truth as it suits him. I can't wait for his next book:

Lies, concealment and deceipt: Doing it the Chris Froome way.

If you were Kerrison reading that - what would you think?

And what else is lying about and concealing?

What a tw$t

Yes, he did mention it and used the words "zig zag" too.

Obviously you haven't read the book in order and are instead going around to picking out snippets to play the gallery.

Oh I forgot. Kerrison doesn't get mentioned much. Just in passing. The Dawg suggests he was doing Kerrison-like sessions way before he joined Sky.

Bobby J gets all the kudos here.

There is a section about the San Luca climb. As per usual, Froome has an excuse:

"The best day was stage fourteen, although it may have been the worst day.

I asked the mechanics before going out for extra gears but the feeling was that I was making a fuss. Most people would have been running a compact and 27 for those kind of gradients, which were really steep ...

But their [the mechanics'] attitude was macho-dismissive and they said that 25 was 'fine' as a climbing gear. 'What do you want more than a 25 for? You should be embarrassed even for asking! You'll be fine on what we give you.'

I wasn't really able to argue and I was slightly intimidated ... When I came to the key moment in the race, I literally couldn't turn the gear when I needed to.

Up the last climb, the Aussie Simon Gerrans and I had the stage between us ... I felt strong, but I sensed that Gerrans did too. In the end, I broke first. My legs seized up and Gerrans pushed on. I was struggling and a group of four other riders eventually picked me off on the last kilometre, so that I finished 6th.

The gears farrago actually ended as an embarrassment to us all. In an attempt to diminish the gradient I began riding zigzags up the hill, pushing over and back across the road. As I got to the sides to turn, people in the crowds were pushing me to try to get me up because I was almost coming to a standstill. Naturally, the papers got pictures of this fun." How in the earthly world can you say they weren't referenced then?

Like I said, playing to the gallery. Look at me, let the show go on. Give me a clap.

This isn't about you, it's a serious topic.

Is it really? I thought even the most devout skyfans would find it hard to take this book seriously.

Also it shows froome has no understanding of training. As Merckx index once pointed out, training hours do not have absolute correlation with final performance. After a point training can be detrimental even.

Froome seems to think that it he can tell stories which make him out to train more than anyone that would explain his wins, as if the person who wins the tour is always the guy who trained the most.

The way he's diminished (that's me being nice) to everyone but Julich and Ms. Cound, it seems unlikely. Is there a "hidden Froome" thehog isn't posting? Post a reference or two.

This book should be in the discount bin soon. I can't wait!

Dropping my stem this weekend and expecting +20 watts.

You ever going to answer the question on whether you think froome is doping?
