Is the bold a true story?

Yes, he and Kinjah did it together. FWIW I've always thought Froome was a doper, but before all of this I never really realised what a *** he was along with it. The Greg Henderson bile in The Climb is just so unnecessary.

Not a mention of a tailwind. Or a tactical masterclass! :)

But turning off your powermeter and doing an extra four hours is. All whist Contador is taking it easy....

Scary stuff ;)

Overtraining doesn't exist.

He's the lonely rider, on his loyal horse Silver. Taking on the dark forces of the universe all alone, the tactical genius who crashes and smashes his opponents like a hurricane...
I think this guy is mentally ill, seriously.

I've read this entire thread today and the only thing I can think of saying is this:

Is this for real?

Unbelievable that someone would give this tripe the thumbs up.

I have been thinking about this. She says it a lot..... It makes me wonder if she is in love with the man Froome or with the athlete Froome?

If you really love an athlete, do you care if they dope? I know I wouldn't.
Ask the ex-missus Hamilton...

Seven Deadly Sin rushed for Xmas...by his own admittance,

Sky book rushed for Xmas - the factual inaccuracies were a joke,

This rushed for the Tour - couldn't even fact check a photo (the sand shoes story)

And by the way, writing an autobiography in five months is not good enough. That alone is a rushed job.

Regarding Cound, she goes on twitter and compares Froome to Mandela with the way they've been had to deal with obstacles! She goes on twitter and references a former doper...denies it was Contador...puts her account on private for a week...comes on here and amongst other things says it's conspiracy theorists looking for a story (or something of that nature)...and then deletes her posts...

I am pretty sick of her saying she'd prefer to have her old life rather than being with someone who doped...she refers to the good job she used to have...did her old job also afford her this publicity? The award ceremonies? The profile or being the fianc

Did someone say Mandela?

She was here? When? Are there any screenshots or something?

just went in to pick up this book and it was 25 quid (euro). fcuked if I'm spending that on it, even if it is the funniest book ever. Will wait for it in paperback, and when it hits the bargain basement.

Anyone knew this?

Apparently Froome got an offer from Riis after his Vuelta performance in 2011.

He met with Riis in a night club per Riis instructions and did not like that he had to stand close to Riis to hear what he said...

Riis offered him captain role in Giro and Vuelta and a role as lieutenant in the Tour. Froome was surprised Riis didn't understand that he was not going to be lieutenant for anyone.

Froome was interested in learning about the clenbuterol case but was dissapointed Riis never mentioned anything about it.

He also states that a move to Riis would be joining the dark side

From: http://www.bt.dk/cykling/froome-afviste-riis-ville-ikke-****te-sig-til-de-moerke-kraefters-side

EDIT: Chis SKYwalker VS Bjarne Vader

Wow. When was this. Michele went there?

December the 6th last year, she said RIP Madiba...fair enough.

Next tweet was this:
I learnt this year that no matter what you achieve there will always be those that criticize. I realized today that everyone has critics...

Then this:
Even Nelson Mandela had his, & despite that, he kept fighting for what he believed in & achieved more than most people can imagine or ...

When I retweeted this and spoke of how ridiculous It was, she tweeted this to me:

will you please refrain from your constant tweets about me. I am asking politely, please just leave me alone

you accuse @lancearmstrong of bullying, yet that's all you do to us day in, day out.We haven't done a thing to you. Please stop.

Froome yes, I mention a lot!!! Obviously. But I actually went back and checked how many times I had mentioned Michelle in five months - Five times altogether I think was the number.

Of course a certain person who posts on here then told her she should sue me...

Cound wasn't comparing Froome to Mandela. That's a silly conclusion to come to from those tweets.

That said she is has a serious lack of self awareness - also quick to block anyone who points that out;)

What comes across in the book is Brailsford is henpecked and bullied by Froome.

Froome's complete lack of results doesn't stop him from demanding what Brailsford should do.

It's very clear Wiggins was marginalised and pushed out of the team mainly due to pressure from Froome.

In saying all that I don't think Froome is a ball breaker but someone is making him behave like the **** that he is. It's clear all those demanding texts to Brailsford weren't written by him.

Richie Porte comes across as thick in the book and will do what Froome tells him.

In fact no one at Sky is written of in a very respectful way. Considering they carried the Dawg when he was nothing and again through the 2012 season. His expectation of Sky is very high.

Only time will tell if the Dawg fails to win the next 18 Tours and how he handles losing if that ever eventuates.

I've always thought Wiggins's Tour win was boring. However watching the Dawg for the next 10 years in my mind is even more mind numbing.

It's funny; white prissy girl from South Africa, living in Monaco using Mandela as symbol of their struggle...!

Think I've heard it all. That's the Froome's.

Bring back Wiggo!

You're right.

Militant oppression of your basic freedoms and human rights along with being persecuted and incarcerated for the colour of skin is nothing like dealing with twitter trolls whilst residing in your beach side apartment located in a tax friendly country.

Would make you just crazy and go out and buy a new Prada handbag or order an extra overpriced cocktail.

Sometimes I don't see so clearly.

Ah well. It seems strange to me:)

Don't confuse fandom with genuine love. It's a first level error.

After all, where is Mrs Andreau now, or more to the point, who is she with? And where is the first Mrs Hamilton? Who stayed the course there? THe various concubines of Armstrong?

Macarena Pescador on the other hand seems to be as solid as a rock, even post ban. Never struck me as involved at all in whatever Alberto might have done/had to do. You suspect after his career, he'll have a good solid family waiting for him. If so, good on him. Maybe that's more a cultural thing than a biking thing.

Ms. Cound does appear to have given up quite a lot to become Froome's significant other. But I don't think that makes much difference in working out whether she's 'in on the scam' or is genuine. Only time, I suspect, can answer that. And whether she'll stick around when the stardust is all done.

For me, personally, a large part of actual real-life love has to be about respect. And if you don't accept doping yourself, it's hard to respect it in your significant other -see Betsy.

You seem bright enough to see clearly but you enjoy the snark too much to reflect that in your posts.

We both know that the sense of perspective you hint at in your post is exactly what Cound was reflecting on in her tweet.

But you crack on anyway.

It does however bode well that you recognise the tweets to Cound as trolling.

You love it.

I think Froome's book says it all. Not much more to else to say really. I'll let his words (and Walsh's) speak for themselves!
