Blessed are the meek Ritchie because they shall continue to ride for Dawg. When is the day that the worlds most p*ssed off looking slave rider rips out his ear piece and does a savage attack for the stage victory?
Do it Ritchie, money isn't everything.

Might be.

Although I used to think like you, now I need a confirmation to be sure. And an improvement in performance (incredible as it is) is not enough for me today.

Of course. After all, you are a fanboy.

I'm not sure Simple Jack is going to say anything...

Uhm, are you talking to me or to him?

And just why am I a fanboy? Please explain (I am guessing you won't, because you know you are just diluting the forum with your bull****, but hey, anything can happen).

It does make me feel that some of BW's less pleasant behaviour toward CF, which was much mocked at the time ("cry baby", etc.) - in hindsight, was basically more or less completely justified - Froome WAS unreliable, untrustworthy and liable to go off message. His refusal to let Froome chase Valverde in the final 2012 mountain stage comes across now, in retrospect, as entirely understandable.

It also puts his 'trolling' of froome prior to the 2013 giro in some sort of context.

It's easy to see Froome as the alpha cyclist now, in hindsight - but when you think back - 3rd at Vuelta just back from broken collarbone, Strong 2011 prior to crash at Tour, back to back Dauphine, complete domination of early 2012, mostly without any Froome help..when you think about it, it's preposterous to think sky would do anything but put all the chips on Wiggins - he'd earned that. Did froome think they should throw that all up in the air because he finally found form (after a mediocre 2012, btw) on Les Belles Filles - even though he was already a minute odd down because of a crash.

Hell, there's a real argument that Wiggins , with a TDF in the bank, a long flat TT final stage, a fine Roubaix this year, and an impressive California win and mountain showing on his books already this year - and froome's form very up and down - , has a much better argument to be a 'protected Plan B' at this years tour than Froome ever did in 2012, 2011 Vuelta result notwithstanding. D'ya think Froome and cound would wear that now? Well, we already know the answer, don't we.

You are clearly missing the point. Froome, from what I have heard, was under the impression that he was going to get his chance in the mountains. Just protect both Wiggins and Froome up to the final climb and then let Froome do whatever he wants. Problem solved. Except Wiggins could not handle it mentally and went crying to DB to make sure the strongest man in the race could not compete.

To be fair you called Dirty Works a Contador fanboy while he clearly isn't one, so a taste of your own medicine I'd say.

I'm not sure if you even watched that race. The strongest man that season and definitely during that TdF by an incredible margin was Bradley Wiggins. I'm at a loss why you think that letting Froome do his thing was a great strategy over defending Wiggo.

Again, anyone thinking he besides Wiggins would get a shot at the overall is just missing a grasp of reality. If he wanted that position perhaps he should have tried harder in the spring.... Wiggins did not earn it by crying to DB, he earned it by being several levels above the competition.

And I'm very, very far from being a Wiggins fan.

At least Alberto seems to have a sense of humor, it would almost making watching the tour. Perhaps Froome should have waited before releasing the book....

That's brilliant. Can we all just start calling porte Sid from now on, and see if it catches on?

And any pros having a cheeky Clinic read, I'm including you in that as well.

The other one is getting more coffee.

Or stepped outside to phone Basso to ask what flavour of protein drink Dawg and Sid recommended. The difference between the right and wrong flavour could mean a potential marginal gain opportunity completely wasted.

No, one of them felt bad that day and turned around. The rest also quit as they couldn't be bothered without their buddy.

Hypothetical scenario. Froome isn't on Sky in 2012, he's riding for some other team that doesn't have awful support.

Does anyone actually believe Wiggins wins that Tour? Not only would Froome have been unleashed in the mountains, Brad wouldn't have had Froome to support him.

Being the best time triallist in the world isn't that much of an advantage when your competitor is like the third best and climbs like Armstrong.

That would depend on whether any other team had enough UCI protection to let Froome go full *** to beat Wiggins. On the special TdF route. During an Olympic year.
