The Clinic is inherently anti-Sky / anti-Froome

This conversation isn't entirely off topic so I'm leaving it. But please do not insult each other and play the ball not the man. Thank you.

Agreed.

It is about a pretty simple Anglo Saxon topic starter seeking for attention who wants to start a thread when his boyhood hero crases out even before the cobblestones start.

Nuff said?

The post, as per its title, is about what I thought was an inherent anti-SKY/Froome feeling in the Clinic and judging by some of the reaction and other posts elsewhere in the last couple of days, in my mind, its proved my point.

And just for info Froome isnt my boyhood hero since he was in nappies when I was a boy.

I'll ignore the 'pretty simple' personal attack comment because I cant be bothered to report it.

I'll make this very simple for the OP to understand. The clinic has discarded Contador - you can call it appalling double standards if you like but they deem that battle to be won. Froome is their new target and they (and thehog) will stop at nothing to bring him down.

You are of course new around here and have never been banned on a previous account so allow me to explain.

As has been pointed out many times, many posters have good reason to be anti Froome/sky. The main reason why these threads generate so many posts is because of the bots. Without bots, there is less vortexing and less need to bring up the same arguments over and over again.

For instance, if Nibali was british and riding for sky Im sure his thread would be full of discussion right now. But since he isnt, and almost everyone agrees he is doping there isnt that much to say.

I'm not new..................just bereft of cognitive function so perhaps you would

use your greater wisdom to explain to me............how come so few posts

in team sky threads are from members that you so colourfully describe as

'bots'?

Fairly sure Froome, Cound, Porte and Sky are doing the job all on their own to bring themselves down.

Diabolical.

How good are those clean French riders?!

I actually think septic might be a bot, he uses the term so much it is programmed into his brain, just like Hoggie:D

Ok so you and others are saying it appears (to newbies / outsiders) as anti-sky when it is in fact anti-doping but that comment & debate for known dopers is not bothered with as everyone has done those arguments. Makes sense i guess.

Really? Despite my detailed replies to your claims AND you agreed with my interpretation of the posts in question, you are going to go back to your original baseless claim. Fantastic.

Ignored.

I am glad you got your conformation, and now?

The definition of the word spawns this idea.

It's very simple. To suggest or accuse bias (not to "observe" it as you have written) when it does not exist, is to say there's an issue with the poster, not the rider. It assumes unfair pre-judgement instead of rational, fact-based judgement.

For most posters in here critical of Froome, it is my opinion the that there is no bias. The ideas that the view of him is unfair and/or comes from pre-judgement is in my view utter nonsense.

If one wants to suggest bias, as many, many Froome fans and defenders seem to do now on a nearly daily basis, the burden is on them to prove pre-judgement, a lack of fairness, and explain why someone would be biased against Froome.

In my case I was biased in favor of Froome if anything, before I knew much about him. He's an english-speaking rider on a mostly english-speaking team. His performances and his and his team's behavior changed my view.

You can't just accuse people of bias and just expect to have them let it pass by.

I was formulating a reply based on another definition of bias, but having read the rest of the thread since I don't think anyone would thank me. . .

Suffice to say I don't agree with your post for a number of reasons, and will have to agree to differ on your interpretation of what I meant.

I'm English, was fantastic winning two tours and I'm happy that Murdoch has done at last a great thing for the UK for a change by bankrolling them with my sky sports subscription!

Suspicious stage performances I don't discriminate who they ride for full stop. I had a bit of a black cloud about Wiggo's win and a bigger one over Froome. That's having a scientific reasoning mentality I reckon.
