It must be a very dog friendly neighborhood you live in indeed, once a kid (or even a neighbor's dog) gets injured by an aggressive dog that attacks and bites the aggressive dog is usually put down where I live!

Here in UK dogs are given a number of chances depending upon the seriousness of the attack, sadly in recent times there have been too many fatalities . Often when owners think their giant size dogs would not hurt anyone, until it happens.
Riding my bike I have received minor bites many times, taking it up with the owners they come out with that rhetoric 'my dog would not bite anyone! then when I show them blood running down my leg they dodge responsibility!
LIVE UPDATE , the postman just delivered a letter whilst I was upstairs , Odie ran downstairs and brought the letter to me!, good boy!

That's so awesome, I'm peeing my pants with glee! Did you know Odie could do this beforehand?

Tandy picked up on the routine commands once I started teaching them to her, but one thing I never taught her was how to give me a hug, she started that all on her own. The way it goes is I have to squat down to the floor to her level because she's a small dog, she then stands up on her hind legs and puts her front paws on my shoulders, and then she licks my face and I then kiss her forehead, and then she licks my face again and I kiss her forehead again... if it were up to her we could be doing this for hours!

I did not know Tandy at all before I had adopted her (I found her listing on a local Craigslist), but it was such a delight to have learned all her good qualities over time, amongst the highest rated is she just enjoys being happy. She's always happy to see me and rarely does not wag her tail... somebody had tossed her out on the street like trash, but what I had found and had gained was and is a pure treasure!

No it was a complete surprise! I spoke with Odie's previous owner today and she said 'ask Odie for your shoes and he will collect them ready for walkies!'

Hind legs stick up just as a human would do a hand stand, it's a male toy poodle!

I've had a couple of male dogs in the past, but no such luck of having them do what the toy poodle is doing - would be worth of taking a photo!

PS - forgot to mention earlier I'm guessing half of your shoes are cycling shoes and the other half running shoes, I can see how Odie could get confused!

Don't think I could post pic if I wished today I tried posting pic of Odie but for some reason it would not work? Video below has a bit part by the poodle though, his owner is a really lovely woman and a bit of a singer. During lockdown when people could not venture out she would bring her amplifier into her garden and sing to her street. She's lucky her back garden backs onto the park with a small gate for quick access!

I should not say this here but I don't have any cycling shoes, my Whyte MTB and Ridley road bike just have flat pedals as I often ride to meet people etc , performance is not important so I cycle in whatever I'm wearing that day. Most are runners , 4 pairs + 2 pairs of hiking boots.

The lady has a lovely voice and the little poodle is just darling! (I was hoping he'd jump in her lap or something while she was playing guitar, but he appears a good boy and he just minded his own business out in the yard.) I frequently dog-sat a neighbor's standard poodle some years back and she was such an awesome dog, consequently I have a very positive view of poodles. It's only their owners who make them look stupid for dog shows...

No worries btw., I've never owned a pair of cycling shoes either because for me riding a bicycle is strictly recreational and I don't need any additional bells and whistles. I actually liked working on my bikes more than riding them because I just love the mechanical part of it - I think bicycles are such ingenious and delightful machines!

PS - I think you may be facing some picture sharing obstacles in the UK right now, have you tried https://imgbb.com/ ? I use the free version, and as an example I'm posting a picture of a normal, lovely looking standard poodle, and the other one is, well, it's something only a human could come up with.

Hullo Odie, I'm Tandy. Hope you're enjoying your new home and your new owner! Don't know if your new owner has a fave rider, my owner's is Nairo Quintana, so I have to be a Nairo fan too. Small price to pay for being spoiled rotten...

Anyhoo, hope you're doing well and your new owner posts more pictures of you in the future!

It seems as though dogs doing handstands to pee is not so uncommon, great to see Tandy, I would post further pic of Odie but I'm still struggling even after trying a couple of hosting sites.

As to favourite rider I would say Laurens Sweeck or Puck Peterse

There is Odie running happily on our wander , he is a good runner, much faster than myself!
Before Odie dogs in my home were taken in by myself from friends when owners were on holiday or looking to rehome their dog . Thinking back at the dogs I have cared for roughly in chronological order, a mastiff cane corso cross, a bull mastiff, a french bulldog, a black lab , 2 fox red labs, a jack russell, a cocker spaniel , a cockapoo, a lurcher and another cocker spaniel. Some of these dogs stayed more than once.

Great picture of Odie in action! And the trail looks just like the one I have near my house, at this time of year it's wet and all covered with fallen leaves. (I live in rainy Oregon.)

You have quite the collection of dogs you had looked after for your friends or neighbors, similarly my list includes a Yellow Lab, Black Lab, a couple of Chihuahuas, a German Shorthaired Pointer, a couple of Dachshunds, a Pit Bull, a Dobermann, a Standard Poodle, an American Eskimo, a Golden Retriever mix, and a little terrier whose breed I can't quite recall. They were all terrific dogs with their unique qualities, but my fave and most memorable were the Standard Poodle and the Golden Retriever mix.

I love all the different varieties , occasionally I have helped out at the local dog shelter and it's amazing just how much dogs are pleased to see you on arrival.

I'm not much of a photographer I know my camera allows setting of shutter speed to improve 'action shots' but I'm lazy and stick to auto. Pic above is start of my standard running loop earlier pic is further round .Today Odie and I jogged around in snow adding to the potential to slip as well as those fallen leaves.

You had snow in your area already? How does Odie respond to snow?

We had some somewhat rare snow last year and I don't believe Tandy had ever seen snow before. She did not want to go outside to pee and do her business, thank goodness for squirrels because Tandy will never say no to chasing squirrels. (Once she saw some squirrels in the snow there was no hesitation and she went out and did some chasing!)

Speaking of going outside to do a dog's business, Tandy absolutely does not like rain, which is kind of a bummer because in my area it rains quite a bit in the winter. Unless she sees some squirrels instead of going outside she goes into a room and pees on the carpet... I know I won't be able to get her out when it rains, so I thought of teaching her how to pee on a pad or even in a litter box. Thing is she is so quick and sneaky I just never catch her in the act, all I see is some stains I need to clean up after the fact. It's not a huge issue, but still...

Snow is rather rare here too, Odie loves the snow he was so excited that he rushed out spinning around like a top. On our wander he just ran back and forth much further than myself.
Bless your tiny Tandy , sounds as though she did not have the best start. Hope she realises how fortunate she is to be in safe hands.
So far Odie has not chased anything other than other dogs, He seems used to cats + he is so gentle he doesn't respond to grumpy dogs growling at him.

Thanks! that seems good advice. To be honest I have little idea just how the camera works , I press a different button in error starting up various screens and I have to switch on / off to get back to what I am familiar with.
I was brought up with film cameras that only had one button!

I'm old enough to remember when the Kodak EK was the latest and hottest thing! Or even just colored pictures rather than black&white...

I'll echo jmd and say no worries if your photos look a bit crap, I don't really know how to use all the functions on my camera either. The fewer buttons to push the better, so I always keep my camera on auto. And sometimes even with auto they don't turn out that great, Tandy's "cataracts" photo upthread is a case in point.

I smiled at the park 'there is another black lab ahead' but it was Odie who had snuck unseen from behind. Earlier Odie was running around with 3 black labs ,
I asked the owners 'can you tell which is yours, because I can't!' I expected instant ID will come.
We do see so many different dogs on our walks , considering which are the most popular breeds I compiled a list of the top 10 most popular I see in descending order- cockapoo/cavapoos, labs (mostly black), spaniels, border collies , border terriers , jack russells , lurchers , westies , staffys , beagles .
Now adding the 10 rarest breeds that I have seen- sloughi, italian spinoni , keeshond , hungarian puli, basset hound , irish water spaniel , st.bernard , english setter , parsons russell ,wheatern terrier.

So rare to see a Puli being mentioned, my family had one when I was a young'un, he was an absolutely fantastic dog!

Not sure if you watched Bob Barker's vid upthread, but he mentioned when male, unfixed dogs stray they're probably looking for (or can smell) "romance".
