<Ranier Wolfcastle voice> Thats the joke. Also agree with the sentiment though. It is easy to characterize someone based off of what happens in their worst moments and extrapolate it to the rest of their lives. Especially if the person rides on a certain Cycling team. (Not to imply that this only happens to Sky riders)Parker said:It was George W. Well, objectively he deserved it. Just because someone is a *** doesn't mean they can't ride a bike.mariposa said:I see on Twitter that Sky have given their Young Rider of the Year Award to Moscon. A little controversial to say the least when you take into account his 3 month ban etc etc. Another nail in the coffin of Sky's so called high ideals for me.
Even taking the accusations aside he's still a racist cheater, all but a good person.CyclingDaddy55 said:Absolutely no doubt he deserves the award as he has been a monster for Sky and he's still only 23 years of age. Yes, you do "suspect" he's a good guy, because, you know, that's what it looks like by all accounts, right?CyclingDaddy55 said:Absolutely no doubt he deserves the award as he has been a monster for Sky and he's still only 23 years of age. only one award voted by the fans and the winner have been Kwiato : rider of the yearsilvergrenade said:Arent the Team Sky awards awarded by the twitter voting?
The public voted for Giani Moscon.

Anyway this doesn't erase the fact that is a phenomenal rider.

I like the cheater one. If that is not overreacting... I think any pro rider reading this thread would just start laughing at the way that word is being used for this episode.
As if he was as bad as Armstrong during his entire career.
Perhaps we should ban Moscon from Cycling for life.
Is holding to a bidon a correct/fair/sportmanslike thing to do? No.
He got caught (differently than the most of the other riders) and DQed. He got what he deserved. Period. End of the story. Full stop. Move on.

so holding on to a bottle is the definition of a cheater then we need to name them all cheats becaulse at one point in their careers they've all done it. In fact any domestique is a serial cheater :surprised:HelloDolly said:huge said:Nirvana said:Even taking the accusations aside he's still a racist cheater, all but a good person.CyclingDaddy55 said:Absolutely no doubt he deserves the award as he has been a monster for Sky and he's still only 23 years of age. That is the definition of a cheater...mayeb you need to get the English Dictionary out
So everyone is againt poor Moscon...is laughable that he is NOT deemed a cheater or a racist even though he got sanctioned for those issues
And its just everyone else'sfault for not moving on ?![]()
its SKY's issue for giveing an accolade to a rider that cheated, made racist remarks and is accused of deliberatley knocking a rider of a bike at speed
So on here there are some excuses for fans ...its just the fault of those who dont like SKY, blah , blah , blah
Mosocn doesnt deserve any accolades for this season ...SKY just doing their usual PR rubbish in awarding...but I would say that whatever team Moscon rode with
But you guys go on excusing cheating and racists remarks and blame the recepients or the fans who think that is not on.....blame everyone but the author of the whole thing....
Gosh you wonder why the world is as it is when so many of you excusers have no standards whatsoever....
" Dont care about racist remarks or cheating or deliberately trying to cause harm to another rider ...all I care about is how well he rides in PR or for froome at the Tour"....says it all really ....shows what kind of fans you are

" A person who behaves in a dishonest way." It did not say, "holding a bidon."
Also, because I anyways had my dictionary out, I checked up the word 'mayeb' and it does not exist apparently.
Maybe you need to get an English Dictionary out.
HelloDolly said:Well it is dishonest to be pulled at speed by a car up a hill and back in to a race ..while holding on to a bidon
You want to argue semantics...
Moscon cheated ...qed
It doesnt matter if someone done it before ...they cheated too ...its still cheating ...and it was not simply having a sticky bottle
But here is not the production of a valid argument ....here is as I said the utterences of the excusers

Dear HelloDolly, the thing is that the bidon episode made him a cheater during that race and he deservedly got DQed for that. The problem with many of you in this thread is that you are treating Moscon as if he has been cheating his entire career, on every single race he's taken part in. A serial cheater.
If today I get involved in a fight, that is not proof that I'm a violent person. Instead, in a very biased way, just because you don't like the guy, from a single episode you a making him a cheater for life.

Who is making anyone anything for life ??
No one...you are reading too much into this...
The point is should he be young rider of the year ... this year..and the answer imo is no because of the things he did this year ...
For the future he can stop all this behaviour and calm down and get on with racing...that is if he does not get in trouble for pushing Reichenbach....If he did that then he deserves a very strong punishment
Or do care about the racism etc, but accept that rider of the year and jolly good chap of the year are not remotely the same thing?HelloDolly said:huge said:Nirvana said:Even taking the accusations aside he's still a racist cheater, all but a good person.CyclingDaddy55 said:Absolutely no doubt he deserves the award as he has been a monster for Sky and he's still only 23 years of age.
