It is easy to characterize someone based off of what happens in their worst moments and extrapolate it to the rest of their lives. Especially if the person rides on a certain Cycling team. (Not to imply that this only happens to Sky riders)

I see on Twitter that Sky have given their Young Rider of the Year Award to Moscon. A little controversial to say the least when you take into account his 3 month ban etc etc. Another nail in the coffin of Sky's so called high ideals for me.

Well, objectively he deserved it. Just because someone is a *** doesn't mean they can't ride a bike.

its SKY's issue for giveing an accolade to a rider that cheated, made racist remarks and is accused of deliberatley knocking a rider of a bike at speed

So on here there are some excuses for fans ...its just the fault of those who dont like SKY, blah , blah , blah

Mosocn doesnt deserve any accolades for this season ...SKY just doing their usual PR rubbish in awarding...but I would say that whatever team Moscon rode with

But you guys go on excusing cheating and racists remarks and blame the recepients or the fans who think that is not on.....blame everyone but the author of the whole thing....

Gosh you wonder why the world is as it is when so many of you excusers have no standards whatsoever....

so holding on to a bottle is the definition of a cheater then we need to name them all cheats becaulse at one point in their careers they've all done it. In fact any domestique is a serial cheater :surprised:

If today I get involved in a fight, that is not proof that I'm a violent person. Instead, in a very biased way, just because you don't like the guy, from a single episode you a making him a cheater for life.

The point is should he be young rider of the year ... this year..and the answer imo is no because of the things he did this year ...

For the future he can stop all this behaviour and calm down and get on with racing...that is if he does not get in trouble for pushing Reichenbach....If he did that then he deserves a very strong punishment

I don't have any particular affection for Moscon.
I might be a total a*hole. Who knows... but why should he keep paying for those two past episodes months after they happened and he paid for them?

As far as we know...
He is not a racist.
He is not a cheater.

That meaning that we cannot judge him as a person, but only for those two specific episodes.
His behaviour was racist in that particular occasion... does it mean that he is a racist person? No.

Or do care about the racism etc, but accept that rider of the year and jolly good chap of the year are not remotely the same thing?
