I don't think it is lack of opportunity that bedeviled him at INEOS but his keen ability to crash out of races. Based on various podcasts on which he has appeared, I like Pavel quite a lot and root for him. Although he is talented, I suspect INEOS has grown weary of waiting for him to complete a grand tour.
His descending skills are still a clear weakness, but overall he's proably one of those riders who has trained like a pro since a really young age (2nd gen with both his mom and dad already being pros + the BMC developmental team who had them train like pros), so there was just less margins to further improve. He can finish top 10 in a gt, but like other's havve said before, not what UAE really needs atm, unless they want another climbing superdom for the Giro-Vuelta team...

The riders do tend to get over these spats - I remember Ewan and Mezgec had a spat at the 2018 Ride London after Ewan broke team rules by getting in the break - They soon kissed and made up and Ewan tried to get Mezgec to follow him to Lotto Disteny.

I strongly suspect that if DeBuyst is leaving Lotto then he is following Ewan. However, I wonder which team would take Ewan - Israel and Arkea are out. Could it be FDJ or AG2R?
Have said before that him and Cofidis seem a perfect match? They got 800 UCI points from Viviani two years ago and Ewan is nowhere near that level of career decline yet. He can still be a very good .1 and Pro rider.

Personally, I hope De Buyst goes to Bingoal or Baloise so he can ride for himself again.

Man, Ineos looks absolutely shite next year. Last couple of years they have had a plethora of GC-options for every race, now it looks like slim pickings.

Olav: I heard some rumours after Tao --> Trek. Maybe his injury will complicate it a bit. Rodriguez shouldn't be 100% Movistar yet, I haven't really followed the story as of late, but maybe somebody else have?
Anyone who signs Tao for big money before seeing how he recovers after the whole Froome situation is beyond hope. I'd monitor his recovery and ask for his full training data, if everything is going well and looking good (numbers wise) you can sign him. The idea of signing someone for big money straight after a potentially career alteering injury is such a high risk move.

From 2022 to 2024 they may lose Carapaz, Dunbar, Porte, Yates, Sivakov, TGH, Rodriguez, Tulett and Martinez of GC contenders or domestiques for GC contenders. The only new addition since last year is Arensman. Rumoured in for next year is only Foss and Landa. That is a BIG difference.
You can probably add Bernal to that list as well. I guess his case would be a losing a GC contender for a GC domestique.

I do still hold out hope he can get back to his best, however.

If Bennett and Formolo are leaving and Majka either retires after next season or starts declining rapidly, then it makes sense to bring in a pretty good climber. McNulty could also be looking for more leadership opportunities elsewhere.

Because it's such an annoying pattern of his.
Okay... but that still doesnt mean it is disrespect, even if it is a pattern. It probably gets worse if people are reacting to it or try to confront/being annoyed by it.

I can only speak from my own experience, but I dont proof read my posts all the time. I find some names hard to write from certain countries. Just from memory or pronunciation. I dont have time to go search every name before I make a post mentioning someone and auto-correct do be correcting names or parts of it, when you are on mobile. Sometimes it is just an honest mistake as well.

Some people could just be "sloppy" or not care if something is spelled wrong, while other takes great pride in always being correct/no spelling mistakes. We are different people.

De Buyst to anything but a WT team makes no sense.
He's one of the best lead-outs in the peloton and currently lead-outs are in high demand.

And if it was not Ilmaestro, I would believe that. But Mcnutly? Come on.
