Tbf hasn't Dave already 'gone', I know he had some health issues, and then ended up focusing in Ineos football, but when was the last time he was seen at a stage race?, gave an interview to the media about cycling?, was part of a press release from the team?

Given he used to be near ever present, the absence might be being felt in so far as so who is the public face captain of the good ship Team Ineos anymore ? Is it G ;)

He always pops up on camera conveniently when they win something, like a high ranking politburo member looming over the ramparts of the kremlin, approving silently of a young soviet prospect.

What is the raison d'être of that team anyway? Team Sky was started with the clear goal of getting a Brit to win the Tour de France. Mission accomplished, with 3 different Brits. To me they seem a bit aimless now.

the goal is to promote the Ineos Grenadier SUV, as far as I can tell.

Eh, teams rise and teams fall, it's almost inevitable. One day you're "rabofail," the next day you're crushing the TdF and Giro (and maybe the Vuelta) in the same year...

I'm not saying Ineos are a bad team, and I actually like them more now than I did when Froome was still racing (he is still racing, but you know what I mean). But they could use a guy like Evenepoel to give them a sense of direction and purpose.

I agree that in an ideal world, INEOS get a hold of Remco and/or Rog. But I feel that the reality is more going for the likes of Theo Storm and AJ August from the jnrs, and then Ben Wiggins and Jacob Bush (after those two probably do a year or two at Trinity, if they are signed with that agent, I'm sure Wiggins is anyway).

Compete with the other super teams and try develop your own Remco/Ayuso/Pog from jnrs/1-2 years U23. But like we have seen with some other young prospects, that method is kinda like flinging s**t at a wall and seeing what sticks!

Let's wait and see if this is the pundit Contador with reliable sources or the pundit Contador 'MVDP to finish in the Giro podium'

yes, let's wait for more. in any case the guesses of lawyers and sponsors working on it behind closed door gets more real. with the rumors of Lefevere and Bakala wanting to sell the team, last month, and the need for money every year by Lefevere. if that happens we'll know that Lefevere got what he wanted to move on and be happy with the deal

Didn't Remco basically call the rumours that he's on his way to Ineos *** not that long ago?

He could be the next Neymar and become a transfer rumour denier meme.
