It seems Odd Eiking won't extend with Uno-X. Think he deserved the extension but maybe he was asking for too much or whatever.

Let's hope he finds a team sooner than the last transfer season.

Have you heard anything or is it only based on no extension being announced yet?

Uno-X has announced 24 riders on contract for next season, so there is still plenty of space. If I was Hushovd I would resign Hoelgaard, Eiking and Idar Andersen atleast, that would leave 3 spots.

I would likely fill the team by promoting Daniel Årnes from the Dev team and sign a one year extension with Magnus Kulset and then I have no idea what to do with the last spot. Maybe try to bring back Julius Johansen?
Meaning I'd let Bendixen, Sander Hansen, Larsen & Sindre Kulset go.

The big name for Uno-X to resign is definitively Hoelgaard, but I think it's a bad sign that he hasn't been announced yet, and he was (rightfully) really disappointed with being left out of the Tour-team. He's had a good season and it wouldn't surprise me if a WT-team is coming in for him.

Must be annoying for them to lose a rider for such a reason, but Vanhoucke has never really performed compared to his potential, so maybe not that much of a loss for them.

Of course he's a loss when you can't replace him with anything decent. A team also needs a midfield, leaders need good domestiques.

There is an article on Landevei in which they confirm there will be no extension for him. It is behind a paywall. I read the news earlier on X / Twitter.

If I were Hoelgaard I would extend, he already had a dissappointing spell at Trek and Uno-X looks a good environment for him.

I don't particularly follow the team but I would have extended the three riders you mention and I would definitely target Julius Johansen. I don't understand why Wanty let him go in the first place.

Maybe Mads Wurtz could come in as another experienced figure, yet to recapture his 2021 form but has a lot of experience in Classics and has 4 GT starts. Shouldn't be too dear for them either

Thanks! As I dont pay for Landevei I dont always check their stuff.

Letting Eiking go does make sense in some ways:
- Eiking doesn't score much UCI-points (205 this season, 170 last season and 230 in 2022)
- Eiking doesn't bring big results (only 1 single top 10 this season and 1 single top 10 last season)
- Eiking is pretty bad in the phase of getting into break aways (was heavily criticized by media and his team during the Tour)
- Eiking doesn't do much work for his team mates (has been criticized by media for this)

It's a shame, because his potential is good (2nd in Sabatini 2022 and his autumn season in 2021 was very good), but Uno-X is tight with the money and if he's demanding much more than minimum salary it does make sense.

I wonder if he will be able to land another decent pro contract or if he will retire.

I think it was a some talk about this some time ago, I think the Q36.5 guy (Ivan Glasenberg) bought Pinarello last year. But I don't know more, maybe someone else does..?

ah yes! I forgot about that.
I looked for info and I saw Ineos will be on Pinarello until end of 2025 (well, contracts can be broken, check Lotto with Ridley last year, etc)

I thought the general view was the Pidcock was now staying at Ineos.
His recent comments are about wanting be where he thinks he should be on the road. Winning more big races, particularly a monument.

But why isn‘t he wearing an Ineos Grenadier or Ineos chemicals, very concerning

nah, the Ineos products are in his (and our) bikes, plastic products, medical products, etc etc, every day life stuff Ineos chemicals has components in. chemical used in Toray carbon fibers for carbon frame bikes. Ineos is with us, always ;)

Did Eiking secure himself a contract with some team after getting 3rd on the Queen Stage in Croatia today?

Talking about Würtz.
Unfortunately, if he hasn't already secured a contract for next year, he might have lost any chance of securing one in the latter part of the year; crashed out of Croatia with a concussion.

However, I don't think he'll be too dear for any team...
