He probably is already on a nice paycheck and can make seven figures anywhere, at that point one should rather look at the support/opportunities that a team can offer him.
Alessandro Covi's contract is ending. Is it known if he'll renew with UAE?
I'm looking at his schedule: Norway, Slovenia... he just did Asturias and Abruzzo.
He's been given the worst races. It´s a worse schedule than that of some Astana riders who are looking for points around the world.
He needs to change team.

As I understand the program is estahblished in full cooperation between UAE and Covi. He gets the old Hirschi program to come back to his old self and start winning again. Seems to be working. That said: love UAE for doing every race. The really understand how cycling works (and want to get most wins haha).
I don't want to belittle a victory. But winning a sprint in Asturias against a Euskaltel rider and in Abruzzo against Italian procontis is less valuable than not winning but finishing second in Liège for example.
This year, he may have chosen this calendar, but as a WT rider, doing seasons like this is a waste of a professional career.

EF don't reveal the lengths of their contracts, so we don't know for sure whether Asgreen is only signed for this year.
Kelderman is old and only a dom these days.
Blobloblo... it aint looking too good atm.
Nordhagen is still very young and need to further develop.
Piganzoli will definitely have opportunities ahead of the above I think. Right now he is looking pretty consistent but question is how high his ceiling is.
either Covi had to ride around as a domestique for a whole year or he does small races and can ride for his own chances.
Didn't saw this coming, but makes senses that they needed another rider because of the retirement of Chantal Blaak.

Best option should be Uno-X. And they need to boost their numbers as well if they're gonna be able to ride a full WT schedule next season.

So Pinarello to follow Pidcock to Q 36.5 is the rumour. I've heared some talk about Bianchi leaving the sinking Arkea team and going to Ineos, but atm it's just rumours.
On the contrary I think it’s a great schedule for him as it is packed with races that he can both be leader of the team and have strong chances at wins.

He has been ill for 2 full seasons. First now he is good again.
In 2022 before illness he looked like a great talent.
But I don’t believe Visma rumors, that seems weird. Unless they want insider knowledge about Sola’s training. Pogacar and Covi both have Sola.
Covi look strong again, but don’t believe UAE re-sign him either. Idk Astana just make more sense for me than UAE and Visma. Let’s see

if they wanted insight into this training all they would have to do is say we interested we want to see data and have access to his training for however many hours. you dont have to sign a rider to get this. His training is not revolutionary, it's just better than Inigo San Milan which by all accounts is not hard to do as a coach with a basic idea.
