Probably to be expected.

Not an easy fit but I don't blame Lidl-Trek. They've been adamant to find a GT leader for the past few years and Ayuso was arguably the best on the market. There's probably a way to get out of the contract earlier in case things don't work out (both for the athlete and the team).

Okay, this is 100% speculation!

Watched an interview with Solbjørk Minke where she was all "Yes, I have a team for next year. And pink is a nice colour."
Which makes me think EF... or BePink.

Someone asked her on Instagram when Picnic would announce her, but we'll see. EF already got a lot of riders hampered by injuries, illness and bad luck. Maybe she's just planning on changing her name to Pinke?

They've, at least for now, got Hamish McKenzie and Wil Holmes due to come on board in 2026, but neither have lit up the U23 ranks. McKenzie was due to join for 2025 but they wisely pushed that back a season as he just was not ready. Holmes is only a first year, so possibly they push him back to 2027, wouldn't be the worst thing.
Holmes appears to have confirmed on his Instagram that he is heading back to HBA for 2026 as opposed to going pro with Jayco. Probably the best decision for him right now

Is there any update or any news reg the Lotto Intermarche merger?

It's still believed to be happening (Heulot leaving Lotto officially now says a lot too). Most riders still barely know anything tho, and are getting more annoyed by the day. It's a mess, like most mergers.

I'm not 100% sure, but 1st of october should be an important date as I think according to UCI rules teams need to let their riders know before then if they want to let them go. Also at the latest we know in 15 days I guess as 15th of October is last day to get all the necessary stuff to the UCI.

EDIT: I looked it up, 1st of october probably won't do anything as it's very possible Lotto and Intermarché just independently apply and then no one is free to go yet. That being said, if they don't and they apply together the UCI should communicate that soon.
