Max Kanter joins Astana!

Maybe a sign that Mark will continue another year? Here is a snipped from Vino about the transfer.

“We know Max as a strong and promising sprinter. He was successful in Under 23 category and at the start of his pro career, but later, perhaps he missed something to show his potential. Now we are ready to work together, to provide Max the opportunities because we believe he can deliver by himself. Of course, we also count on him as a helper for other sprinters in the races where it will be needed. I would say it is a good transfer for Astana, it will help us to continue our work on creating a strong and successful sprinter group”, – said Alexandr Vinokurov, General Manager of Astana Qazaqstan Team.

I usually wait until there's an announcement from the team before I consider it confirmed.
But, I suppose it could have been confirmed in some other way; like Juul-Jensen revealing on live television that he'd extended with Jayco, quite a while before they officially announced it.

It was confirmed on the team's twitter 6 hours before your post - De Pretto was always likely to join after doing a stagiare period in 2023.

Veronica Ewers makes the switch from EF Education Tibco SVB to EF Education Cannondale, they announced it as their first rider signing for the team, so kind of confirms what we expected that they arent automatically taking on the Tibco SVB riders yet.

I wouldn't waste money on either bennett or landa because i don't see them adding anything to the current team around remco. Lefevere should say to remco, we can sign these two or stick with what you've got now and bump up his wages to €4million + performance bonuses.
Bennett is such a bad signing I would call it symptomatic of wtf is wrong with SQS' recruitment.

Bennett actually could become decent again. Not as good as he has been at Jumbo of course, but well enough to be helpful for Remco together with Van Wilder.

Landa on the other hand just looks done and past prime to me. Everything this century suggests he's in decline. Apart from 2021 maybe. At least talking about gt climbing.

Landa who finished top 10 at Tirreno, Catalunya and Itzulia this year and was on thee podium of Lombardia and Giro last year looks done but George Bennett could be helpful. Makes sense.
