UAE won't rest until they've ruined the game: Oscar Chambo to join. Will go to their new development team first.

I did post that Chamberlain would get picked up by a WT team after his performance at the Junior World's - I also posted that Chamberlain was no chance of getting to Jayco - When Plapp joined Ineos without ever racing in Europe he got close to 500K - The scary thing is that UAE offered more dollars - Poor Jayco will have trouble recruiting Aussie talents if this trend continues - The only saving grace is their so-sponsorship of Hageon's CT team should give them more exposure to these type of riders.

This, also potential monster leadouts for Groenewegen from mister "+1300W for 255 sec at the end of an actual race already in the u23 ranks".

Much better signing that Consonni for Trek. Both Pedersen and Milan can get over hills and 60kg Consonni is just too small to be a leadout men, when things get physical they can just push him away with their shoulders. Leadout Consonni didn't work at UAE for Gaviria and it's not gonna work much better now. Maybe if they use him earlier in the train before the leadout man, but it seems like they just went with "let's sign another Italian TP guy who can sprint as a leadout man for Milan" without considering that Milan is so much bigger, gets very little draft from such a little guy and that being a leadout man can be a bit of a contact sport.

Walscheid's primary focus will be cobbled classics and he will get leadership if Jayco rides more of the minor one-day semi-classics - He would be the second last rider in a Groenewegen sprint train as Mezgec does a fine job as the leadout rider. I also wonder if Jayco will try to get Groves back in 2025 in which Walscheid will be an invaluable ally.

If imaginary situation happens like RE goes to Ineos, I'd say G could be a decent road captain for that little bstrd and overall.

G's gotten better lately keeping the rubber side down more and more and whatnots..
Oh I am sure G would be a more than decent road captain/right hand man/mentor for Lil'Bastard. And I figure G would be quite happy with that role, on his pod it sounded like he was not doing Giro-Vuelta again next year :D.

That sounds grim, but I'm not sure G wouldn't be the best stage racer on every squad other than JV, UAE, and SQS, right? We can argue about Bora, but I'd take G for Movistar, EF, et al. (I don't know how to bet on Carlos Rodriguez's destination.)

But to your larger point, it is stunning how decisively INEOS has moved on from all but a few domestiques and their youngest potential stage racers. (I still can't see how letting Ben Tulett leave fits whatever plan they have.)
Indeed. I think it would be great for INEOS to re-sign G. He will likely get as good a spot in the TdF GC as any of their current riders or potential easy signings would, Rodriguez might be the exception here. So having one more year of G, gives INEOS one more year with decent results in GTs while they wait for their future Tour challenger to emerge.

Don't know about Ben Tulett, seems awfully quick if they just reckon he doesn't "have it", maybe Ben just got into his head that he would do better at Jumbo.

Seriously, what is Ineos doing right now...
Clearing out to make space for ... who knows? Buy up all of QS? If they really think they're going to get Remco, then Landa might be in for a shock! Maybe Sir Dave has persuaded Sir Jim to get Froome back?! :D

There's been talk of Roglic, but that seems highly unlikely. Maybe Sir Jim wants Cav and will buy up Astana or merge or something. It's all very strange.

Movistar have made a couple of signings yesterday, on the women's side of the team, picking up the Ruíz Pérez twins, Laura and Lucía, on a three year deal together. Both just turned 19 and are seen as the biggest prospects of their age group in Spain. Laura is the junior national champion, while Lucía is the overall winner of the Copa España this season and also finished a highly creditable 32nd on Lagos de Covadonga and 38th overall in the Vuelta Feminina, not bad for an 18 year old on a small domestic team.

Meanwhile Laboral Kutxa, the women's arm of the Fundación Euskadi team (well, all bar the Euskaltel team to be fair because Laboral Kutxa also sponsor the amateur lineup), has announced the signature of Ane Santestebán, also on a three year deal.

This seems like either quite the step back for Ane, who has mostly been on teams like Alé-Cipollini, WNT/Ceratizit and Jayco for the last decade, and having just dinished top 10 in both the Giro and the Tour is far from washed up, or quite the statement of intent for Laboral Kutxa to step up their game as you would say that Santestebán is by far the most prominent Basque name they would have access to in women's cycling; while far from a prolific winner (in fact one Spanish national title over a decade ago is Ane's only pro win) she is nevertheless a proven WWT level rider and established commodity who gets strong placements in hilly and mountainous races all year round.

I recall an interview with Tulett around the time he won CX Worlds, the TdF was a target, and Skyneos were his dream team to ride for. Don't really know what's happened, but he's still only 22.
Very surprised Tulett now joins Jumbo.

Tulett at Ineos, that fits perfectly. I don’t know why Jumbo should be better for him.

Maybe he should even have stayed at Alpecin.

I wish him a good time at Jumbo, and am curious if he‘ll leave after two years, again.

Then 2 years Alpecin, two years Ineos, two years Jumbo… Afterwards, maybe two years UAE?… But for Jumbo, he‘s a great signing, of course.

But signing Jorgenson was probably more important for Jumbo. He‘s the real deal, I‘d say.

So it’s all about you?

In an interview in Cycling Weeky two/three weeks ago Unzue said that they have signed a new GT overall rider to lead the team next year, a really good performer, if a little under the radar.
I assume it's not one of these two, but maybe it is.

His family have always been very supportive in all ways to ensure their children achive the the best they can in their cycling careers.
If it was felt that that Jumbo is the best team to be in I'm sure his father will have done all he can to ensure it happened.
