What the hell kind of title is this? It was fine before.

I too would have preferred to not need to point out the obvious.

Gianetti has confirmed in an interview that Formolo will ride for Movistar next year

See, that wasn't so hard, was it? ;)

Formolo-to-Movistar.
Plapp-to-Jayco.
Both have a contract with their current team for next year.

And the Evenepoel-to-Ineos was persistent for a very long time.

No no, you misunderstand: Rumours don't need sources, but anything that doesn't include a source is - of course - a rumour.

I am presuming telling you that Plapp to Jayco is a done deal is not the right time right now with the Formolo info coming out?
You know, with both having contracts and all....

Seriously, what's your problem!?

Now rumours are not even acceptable in the transfers and rumours thread? When they do have sources that the other posters can then make their personal assessment of? Get a freaking grip!

Rumours are okay, the problem is people who act as if they're confirmed.
I, otoh, are going to act as if they're not true. They might be confirmed later on, or they might not.

Talking about a rumour:

Stephens: "A certain Nairo Quintana on his way to a certain Aussie team." :tearsofjoy:

I am presuming telling you that Plapp to Jayco is a done deal is not the right time right now with the Formolo info coming out?
You, with both having contracts and all.

If you can include a link, of course I'd believe it.
BTW, is the problem that you don't know how to include links?

Yes, and that's what I said. That was what made you go nuts yesterday (that a person didn't use the conditinal), but it was a reaction to a rumour that included a source. So there was no reason for all the nonsense.

And no, that's not colonel's problem. As he said yesterday, he doesn't want to lose his sources by quoting them.

It's fine if someone does not believe a rumour, whether it is coming from a forum member, a journalist or the Pope.
It is not fine to call out people for posting info without source or constantly and annoyingly insist on "only official announcements are true".

Certainly not, you don't need an official and public announcement from the team or rider themselves to know certain news are truth. Of course sometimes rumours are only that, and even some deals even fall through despite being verbally agreed (or even signed, as Carlos Rodriguez, in which INEOS had to pay a lofty price to release him from the Movistar agreement), but people should be allowed to judge for themselves which information believe as certain and which not.

By the way, Rui Costa was confirmed yesterday at EF by Daniel Benson, which is as official as you can get without any team or rider involvement on the news.

Okay... I'll stop reminding people that rumours can't be considered true. You can believe whatever silly stuff you want to.

Anyway, this isn't even a rumour, just a silly thought:

Julius Van den Berg doesn't have a team for next year.
FDJ still has room for a few riders.
Which would - once again - mean two Van den Bergs on the same team, but two who aren't related.

Any silly thought can become a rumour, that is just a matter of publicity level.

Ben Hermans doesn't have a team for next year.
Tarteletto-Isorex has had two older riders as mentors/raod captains/leaders for their mainly young squad, but Timothy Dupont looks likely to be alone as a senior member of the team next year.
Which would mean two Ben Hermanses on the same team, but not related.
