They, Tudor and whichever of Uno-X and Cofidis misses out on the final WT slot are going to absolutely dominate proceedings for the wildcards next cycle. All four are very lucky that Lotto and Intermarché are merging, otherwise the next three years would be a bit of a bloodbath.

and that Arkea is 99% folding (but I'm baffled that NO NEWS AT ALL is coming from Hubert and the team ffs)

I had a deep dive into the French Gruppetto forum whose members where shaken by Askey leaving the Holy Church of FDJ to sign with Israel-PremierTech. and others made an analysis of many ethics of many sponsors teams, as we always did on here (pollution, regimes, fuels, gambling, etc)
then the one new poster comes, joins the forum and his first post is this. putain!

Well, if we put some morality into this forum and into cycling now... we're not out of the woods yet!!!!!!
No one seems bothered to see Julian Alaphilippe at Tudor, co-sponsored by Hugo Boss, the official costume designer and outfitter of the Third Reich, the Gestapo, and the German army. No one was offended to see Laurent Jalabert displaying the Deutsche Bank logo on his ONCE jersey in the late 1990s, the bank that accepted the dismissal of two Jewish directors in 1933 and financed the Auschwitz concentration camp. And I'm giving you a post that this entire forum applauded Bernard Hinault, Laurent Fignon, Marc Madiot with a Renault jersey on their shoulders, a company well known for its collaboration and which does its utmost to supply Hitler's armies with military equipment (trucks, tanks for the Wehrmacht, exhaust pipes usable as incendiary bombs, etc.). This production generates handsome profits. Jacques Anquetil between 1964 and 1966 raced in a Ford jersey, Henry Ford was known for his anti-Semitism. Ford Werke A.G. is considered "a key part of the Nazi arsenal," producing 60% of the Wehrmacht's tracked and armored personnel carriers. And on the organizer side, who remembers Jean Leulliot, founder of Paris-Nice, the Route de France, the Etoile des Espoirs and who during the War (against Goddet's advice) organized the Circuit de France (a sort of adulterated Tour de France) with his collaborationist newspaper La France Socialiste. Emile Idéee, reigning French champion, received threats from Jean Leulliot that he would be visited by the Gestapo if he did not take part... He was tried at the Liberation and it was Jacques Goddet (with or without his colonial hat on his head?...ugh colonialism) who interceded on his behalf. Closer to us, La Depêche du Midi, sponsor of the Route d'Occitanie... it just sheltered René Bousquet, head of the Vichy Police, a major player in the Veld'Hiv roundup and who became administrator of the Toulouse newspaper for several years under the direction of the Baylet family... Only Gino Bartali had morals! But he was the only one!

I'm sure that guy is fun at social events

Jayco yet again being outbid by Pro Conti teams for riders.
Eh. He's a good domestique but the insistence that he rides GC when Yates (previously) and O'Connor weren't there was a little annoying, as for me both Dunbar and Zana were better suited.

Squad was (and still is) a little climber heavy anyway. Need more lead out riders IMO

I think the opposite. Unless, Zana stays Jayco are light on for tall mountain climbers. They are fine for punchy climbers, while they have lead out riders but they dont ride as a team. You only had to look at Stage one of Renewi. Walscheid, Stewart, Mezgec, groenewegen, Reinders and Donaldson should be about the best lead out in this race, however, they were all over the place.

Walscheid and Mezgec are the only WT level lead out men there. Stewart straight up has been poor this year, Reinders is average and Donaldson could get there but currently isn't.
Hold on. Real Chris Harper wants to ride GC?
Who does he think he is? Jonas Vingegaard?
Not sure if it's him or Jayco.
