You missed the gist of my original post. Why are Jayco losing three riders to PCT teams with all being grand tour stage winners.
Not really, I just don't think Harper and Dunbar are big losses (Groenewegen the obvious exception, top line sprinter).

Lets see how many GT stage winners Jayco will bring in this transfer period. The gist is that PC Teams are outbidding Jayco for the services of riders.

What, if anything, Groenewegen is the best one of those three to say goodbye to. They've all won Grand Tour stages the past 14 months but Groenewegen sure has had a horrible season and they should be glad to see the back of him.

Groenewegen, a pure sprinter not able to position himself and needing the perfect route, race and leadout to do anything noteworthy? Useless. Probably comes with a big contract as well due to his name. I'd pay to get rid of such a worthless rider, huge addition by subtraction.

Top line actually. The dude has one WT victory in 3 years as far as I can count. The last season he was a top sprinter was possibly as far back as 2019. I dont know his wages at Jayco, but it won't suprise me if he hasn't been close to justify that wage during his soon four years at the team.

Groenewegen has been cooked for at least a couple of seasons. He's good for one day victories at races below WT level, but that's about it now.

Yesterday, they extended the lead-out man (well, his contract. Presumably he still has the same height):

So, makes sense they'd extend the sprinter too (again, his contract.):

But as I've mentioned multiple times PCS should still extend their height for him.

Daniek Hengeveld to Visma in what is probably just the first of multiple announcements of current Ceratizit riders finding new teams.

Gregor Mühlbeger will leave Movistar and has already signed for a new team. According to Austrian press, he is likely to join Felix Gall at Ag2R
Looking at how he finally bounced back after his health related problems he's a rock solid climbing domestique, not that AG2R are short of them, but still nice and a sign of trust that they sign someone who Gall wants to have as a domestique.

Over at Alpecin, Maurice Ballerstedt will return from early retirement to replace Planckaert. Jonas Geens (although listed with Flanders-Baloise for 2026 on PCS) and Francesco Busatto (Intermarché-Wanty) will get on board as well, same as Lindsay de Vylder (as confirmed earlier on).

Rickaert, Vertrynge, Diller and Riesebeek all got a contract extension.

They'll turn up to a big classic, team will look a bit meh and they'll somehow still be there after 200k at the front.
